Ronnie was a good person to watch! I can remember Ronnie driving his JPS Lotus going through Copse at Silverstone with the back wheels way off line like a rally car - spectacular to watch him slide the car around the curve! Not just once , a couple of times !! Great

Patrick Depailler actually was the one who got in the fire kicking parts of the lotus to let Hunt to help Peterson but didn’t get the medal for his bravery instead give it to Hunt Peterson will never be forgotten

Today Ronnie would have lived. Such a damn shame.

I'm now 36, my mother was at the race when he died, gave me a cap from the event for my 18 birthday...never knew it was a headgear she had kept for 20+ years...I have for the last 20 years kept it in good condition...for me now it's a piece of f1 history.

Good video! Ronnie was a splendid driver in many different cars, outstanding also in all cars from go karts to touring cars. Often winning by a lap or so. One of my big heroes when I was growing up.

It should not be forgotten that ( other than the appalling start ) a large part of blame for the accident centred on James Hunt who ever after blamed Patrese. I believe that Italian cameras at the time showed Hunt blocking/avoiding Patrese prior to Hunt’s impact with Peterson. Maybe it was like a road car incident where one driver takes the view “ you’re not getting past”. Sadly nothing can bring him back, since when we have been robbed of witnessing truly fantastic car heroics. One moment I still remember - Race of Champions at Brands where Ronnie went past Beltoise at Clearways ( 60 mph corner ) as if Beltoise were standing still. Great video!😁
