I don’t even play root, ive only watched online, but this game was scintillating!! Really entertaining play and table talk - kudos to all players (special shoutout to nefernefer) and ty to guerric and lily for providing this content
The situation was that Cats gained rule in 9 by accidentally giving up rule in 8 Lily made a comment about changing how Cats gained rule in 9 by making a different move, but stated the incorrect number of warriors that needed to move into 9 to gain rule My comment about needing 2 warriors was simply a correction to the number she stated while otherwise agreeing with her proposal
Just a thought but wouldn't y'all be able to step in to correct the players if they make any mistakes with the rules, like when the VB crafted the bag in bunny instead of mouse at 59:09?
We could, but as a rule for the tournament we've established that we would not step in to make corrections unless prompted to by the players. The reasoning being that we cannot catch every mistake, so it's more fair to not catch only some mistakes. There's also the fact that sometimes we can be wrong as well (this holds especially true when chat is calling out mistakes), and I think it's better for everyone if our wrongness is only inflicted upon players when they call on us.
