What is the difference between a street blower setup with injection and your blower setup? (Besides the mechanical fuel pump.)And can a street blower setup be raced? And What would be the changes on a street blower setup? (Street/strip)
Mechanical injection on the street isn't a great idea, not that it can't be done, but you'll struggle with part throttle issues. EFI or carbs would be more appropriate for street use. As far as the blower is concerned, the difference between a street blower and a full on race blower is Teflon stripping of the rotors. Competition blowers are not meant to be run for long periods of time. There are no reasons a street blower can't be raced, I ran one for years that wasn't stripped or coated and was getting respectable boost and HP levels.
About to do a roots blown motor got alot of questions but first i see you say your fuel pump is up front running off the crank but cant you use a fuel cell in you trunk or is that not the same thing my goal is to make around 1200h-1500 either alcohol or methanol which one runs more cooler and make more power by the way thanks
Fuel pump has to be driven by the crank or cam on a mechanical injected motor. If you run EFI you can have an electric pump. Alcohol and methanol are the same thing, but I assume you mean ethanol or methanol, in that case I would choose methanol for a max effort build. Thanks for watching!
:) Quit looking at it, I'm self conscious! That pulley is called the "Confused and Scared" pulley. Don't worry though, Ive got plenty of "party" pulleys in the trailer for when I get it lined out.
