I saw Rory three times in the 70’s, including opening for Blue Oyster Cult. Yikes!! He had things thrown at him, but said thank you after each song. A dynamic, fiery guitarist and a class act.
I've got every Rory album while he lived. Most are original vinyl. I even have his albums with Taste. I have several of his post-mortum albums too. Sadly I never got to see him live.
If there is a heaven then Jimi, Rory, and Stevie Ray are waiting for me with my own '65 sunburst Strat and a tube driven Marshall stack, to give me lessons for all eternity.

Song is based on the film Charley Varrick; one of Rory's favourites. But it's really about himself. He was indeed "The Last of the Independents". That's why almost nobody knows who he is. Tragic.
This is what I call sole music- your feet just have to tap. Why would anyone ever consider taking amphetamines when they can listen to tracks like this? The irrepressible Rory in fine form as always.

Pas d'accord Rory Gallagher a une voix aussi spéciale que celle de Robert Plant et il chante juste mais lorsqu'il est fatigué plutôt que de s'arrêter il continue les concerts le timbre change et il crie plus fort encore. Ecouter le "best off" de Lazar Mihajlevic et écouter ses disques studio: "Blue print" 73 et plus tard "defender" , "Fresh Evidence" , "Top Priority"
