"I'm wishing on a star, to follow where you are". Absolutely one of the most memorable lyrics in music history! Rose Royce has great songs to listen to. Two of my favorites are "Do Your Dance" and "Love Don't Live Here Anymore".
GWEN!! Yes, many 70s originals were "borrowed" later in 80s, 90,s etc. Not to say anything, but the 70s surely had original and creative writers, musicians, and singers!
Yes, you are absolutely right, many of the original productions of many songs such as this back then not forgetting the massive disco hits will in my view will never be bettered....end of story...just really glad I got to get to many clubs back then in the 70's and enjoy this great music.
Man, this was my jam back in the day, along with her other songs. Also, Chic, Bootsy Collins (Bootzilla, Flashlight!), Earth Wind & Fire, The Bee Gees, Parliament-Funkadelic, the list go's on and on....
This Album was the jam back in the day. Sadly, awesome dance tracks of the time like 'It makes you feel like dancing', and 'Do your dance' never get a look in now, because everyone is just fixated on 'Wishing on a star' (which, don't get me wrong was a great track.....but so were the other 2)
