Thank you for the video! After being on this planet for 44 years I’m finally learning about my family history. I’m a Page descendent and have an uncanny resemblance to Col. John Page and Allison (Frank) Francis Page. Allison (Frank) Francis Page is my favorite ancestor so far. Thank you (again)!

Hello from a cousin! I too am a Page descendant. My mother was Martha Page from French Creek, WV. Neil Page Albaugh, Tucson, AZ
@ChesaFreakBoyzFishingVideos
Also have page family blood in me. However, I come from a long line of walkers, rowes, and warners. Not proud of it, but yeah, my grandfather (Morris Phillips) actually helped operate local museum until his death in 2006 and many of the artifacts still on display were donated by him. In fact, my family is close with the barrs and I spend a few days each summer swimming in their pool lol. I should do a video touring the place actually bc it’s private.

Another Page descendent here, John Page is my 5th Great Grandfather or something like that. I am headed to Williamsburg next month and will check out the museum.
@ChesaFreakBoyzFishingVideos
@@kwallace3357 if you want to discover the incredible power that Gloucester had for a time when the tobacco trade boomed after Rolfe visited and found the soil suitable. They basically tell the diner version of the Powhatan tribe and John smith, then skip to the civil war. It’s not detailed, and it is not what any decent historian would consider acceptable even from like a high school student writing a research paper. Im meeting with the current curator next week sometime, and if I don’t see some changes our family estate is revoking all of the artifacts we donated (thousands and thousands of incredible artifacts from the 1650-90 era. Intact bottles with seals still on them. So yeah, I have leverage

You did awesome on this video. My family were some of the slaves on this plantation along with Warner Hall and Eagle point. Was there this past Dec. and the owner of Eagle point gave me a tour of the house. Roswell was closed for the season.
@ChesaFreakBoyzFishingVideos
I live on a big piece of property about three miles from Warner hall and, I’m ashamed to say, I am directly related to Augustine Warner I. I literally come from a long line of wealthy slavers and confederate losers but inherited all of this land anyways. Im sorry, I don’t even know what to say. My family quite literally enslaved yours. Luckily, I did not inherit the the racism that some of my family here still exhibit to this day. I am currently trying to play hardball with the historical society to start acknowledging the EVIL underbelly lying beneath. Half of their artifacts were donated by my granddaddy, so I have some serious leverage.

@ChesaFreak Boys Fishing For our generation it's about learning and healing and making sure the past never repeats. I wish for what is there to be part of research and learned history. If you have any information, especially things to do with slave life iam sure those of us from that would love to research our families. I am not sure other than the genealogy society could help with that. Good luck in life and I wish you well always ❤️
@ChesaFreakBoyzFishingVideos
@@jessiejvlogs yeah, the Gloucester historical society does not like me much because they love to talk about their special ‘’reverence for the past’. Well, over a period of 50 years, Gloucester county and its colonial elite played a role in the establishment of chattel slavery in the United States that cannot be overstated. They don’t want it stated at all, but it just so happens I have a “heritage” (as they would say) that still commands respect in this town and I will tell the real story of the servants revolt and the psychological and physical warfare that went on to ensure class consciousness could never transcend race. Should the white servants and slaves start to realize their class enemy is the same-and that was happening a lot during the tobacco boom-the elite merchant class would be threatened by what governor Berkeley described as a ‘leveling’-ie their class position was in serious jeopardy should racial resentments be transcended by a shared class interest. That was happening. This you have the institution of the slave codes. You also had the very first slave patrol units for hunting runaways, rooting out rebellions, etc. Berkeley wrote into law giving all Gloucester colonists the express order to kill runaways or suspected conspirators in the any sadistic way they see fit. There are gaps in the history in this county that I intend to fill in.

Hi. I grew up with a family who at one time owned a plantation estate called Corbin Hall, Virginia. Remember fondly all the memories they told me of the place. Am not sure what happened to it after so many years, if you maybe know of it could you do a tour?? Thank you again, Lee
