In this video we take the BF mkII XR8 ute out to Willowbank to run her down the drag strip. I didn't get very many runs but we now have baseline performance for what she will do down the quarter mile.

Good to see some 5.4 content 👌 Mid 14s aren't bad at all for a fairly stock auto. I've used that obd2 data module too, pretty handy!

Cheers, I do like the ease of the obd data but I stuffed something up and only got video no logged data. I need to sort that out for next time.

Nice vid. I recently did a run in my bf boss290 G.T. Did a 13.88. Reaction times are crucial to a good time. I think you'll make a big difference to your times just by concentrating on your R/T

Hey mate reaction times don’t count to your ET! The time starts from when your front wheels leave the staging beams. It does not start from the green light. The reaction time only counts when your racing someone in the other lane. To get the best time on your time slip completely ignore trying to get the best reaction time, just wait for it to be green then focus on getting the launch the best you can get it. My best times have a 2 second reaction time cause I’m focusing on getting the clutch engagement right. The other tip is to roll into the second stage as shallow as you can, go as slow as possible and stop as soon as the second stage light is on, you then get a small amount of movement forward in the launch before the timing system is triggered, that’s only a small advantage but it’s one to easily use
