It looks like that flooring is very tough for the girls to navigate! It looks gooey and slippery. You can see her walking carefully so as not to step in the slots. .Hope there's better flooring elsewhere for her to hang out. Thanks for the video!

Just curious Tom … TecTV Won’t the toe necrosis continue further up the claw ? Do you just indicate it on your computer on the KVK for the farmer ? Is the vet able to do anything medically to stop the progression of the necrosis? I also wondered if a U- shaped block would have helped in this instance or would it have caused the bruising to worsen ( sorry I didn’t explain that very well) Thanks for your videos and your feedback hopefully in future post or videos.

Didn't show what ~should have~ actually had to be done and cut down and cut back that internal necrosis of the "heart" of the hoof - until one gets back to healthy corium and hoof ....

It's disgraceful that farmers allow such cruelty to an animal that has its calf ripped away, just so we can have milk. The least they can do is be kind and caring to them, before a bolt goes through its skull when it dries up and stops having a use.
