I get your point - the good thing is this is SinglePlayer, so no need for a toxic community. Love the poeple playing this game so far, everybody helps with tips and their loadouts. It's awesome!
Rotweaver has become one of my favourite guns, as it is unique in the arsenal in a certain way: The gun is able to deal significant damage even on very long range (we talk sniper range) without ever running out of ammo like a usual long-range Rifle would do. It easily can replace any Sniper Rifle. All you need is some patience. We all know how bad damage falloff due to distance can suck, but here's the thing: Damage falloff is only true for kinetic impact damage, not for Damage over Time effects. So if you hit anything in the distance with the Rotweaver, you only deal 1 kinetic damage, but full decay DoT. You can just wait it out while being in a safe distance. Or spray some bullets in a group and run away 😂Works even better with Crown of Fire - Dash, spray, run. Decay ticks on burning enemies do quite some work. So for example you can pair the Rotweaver with a Shotgun and don't need to worry about distance.
@@chr_isso yeah its actually too good😂 i use it on most builds cuz everything else feels weak compared, kinda like stake and lighball that demolish a whole cataclysm in one shot, after finishing all the content i would actually really appreciate an endless mode that gets scaled as you go to really push the limit on builds
I use this gun a lot. However I don't really care about replenishing my ammo. I mostly use it to just tag enemies with decay. The tick damage does increase the more you hit an enemy, but the starting damage is already very high and you don't have to worry about attack range since the decay damage doesn't get reduced. Damage over time effects can be hard to wrap your head around. The tick damage might seem unimpressive, but the way you have to think about it is the overall damage the DOT will do and how much time you had to spend appyling it. Thinking of it this way it's incredibly cost effective to just hit enemies once if you have burning stake up. Combining this with Eye of the Madwoman allows you to charge burning stake faster. When the first enemy you taged reaches the madwoman threshold or burning stake explodes you start to see a cascading effect of enemies starting to die quick and while you have every enemy tagged you can swap to your second weapon to start damaging the bigger enemies. Of course you can also use an AOE light spell to trigger burning stake, but Rot weaver gives you flexibility since the enemies don't have to be grouped up as much.
Sounds like a good plan! If this works for you to clear the maps, good job! I like the gun and was positively suprised, but it wont become my first choice!
Note the damage fall off is significant but you can still tag guys from across the map and apply decay. I pair it with striga/burning stake/lightning ball/kerfane. Just tag everything with decay and lob logs at em.
you should do a video showcasing stigma, sniper, kirfane combo. the lightning arc scales with the shot that activates it. so kirfane sniper stigma is an amazing combo
You know, I've seen gameplay of this before & it just looked extremely underwhelming. But your insightful video definitely made me consider using it for that dungeon in the castle. Hate that vault 😵💫
Hey brother, can you please do a video on a best build for a temple boss run (1st map)? Or at least the op build, I’d like to see your thoughts what’s best because I may miss something interesting. Thanks for posting videos, you are one of the few streamers who enjoy this game as much as I do during early access
Sure, there will be a patch in today (or tomorrow) which will change a few weapons - I can then do another test and see what works best for the tower! Thank you for watching my videos - appreciate it!
I think I'll give rot another chance.. (I'm not very patient and enjoy playing in fast and aggressive way) I would love to see your set up for Hangfire as it is by far my favourite gun.
Hangfire is (still) strong - i think I can do a review in the future! But will take a little time, i think next up will be Psychopomp because it's so unique in it's playstyle!
Let me ask you a question. I’ve been following you for a while. I’m having a difficult time in the Stonegate area just completing the area. Can you give us some tips on a walk-through in this area?
What would be your best build to play the game throughout on each map and so on and so forth I played several different combinations. Still not happy with any of them. Maybe you can give me some guidance.
