My dear sir, you are a genius! I believe you have solved every workholding dilemma imaginable! That solution for the tail vise with two sliding dog blocks, essentially creating two wagon vises, along with the full capability of a twin screw on the back unobstructed by the L shaped dog block section of a true tail vise but incorporating all the functionality and then some… absolutely amazing! Well done! I’m currently in design phase for a workbench and have been researching all the possibilities for tail base selection and the search is now officially over!

I was looking for other people’s installs of the twin turbo vise (about to install 2) and came across your video... now i wanna change my bench design!!!

This is beautiful! The craftsmanship is excellent. I especially appreciate your humility admitting your mistakes. However I do not understand why there are through slots in the middle of the bench, that is running the center of the bench top. Finally, I would like to see a video of someone build a roubo bench using only hand tools, like craftsman did 300 hundred years ago.

1:20 Could you secure the spacers (so they don't slide around) by using dowels? I saw someone just using toothpicks just to hold them in place. Guess it's just a very small, handy dowel 😁

What is the benefits of the wagon style vise over putting dogs in the vice jaw?

Very nice bench! But why is that wagon vise better than putting dog holes in the vise jaw itself? The wood you're working on pops out more often with the dog holed jaw rather than the wagon vise? Why would that be? Any other benefits as well?

Brilliant! I’m thinking of getting myself one as well and I thought the 20” was more appropriate but from your video it looks like the smaller one works just fine and based on your installation you didn’t have to put the 2 degree slipe on the bottom of the vise face, is that right?

Very nice bench, and very clean workmanship. The full width tail vise is a smart feature. I recently purchased a Sjoberg vise to use as a tail vise on my new bench, which isn’t as cool as the “twin turbo” vise (nice name, but where exactly does he fit the turbo-superchargers in there? 😜) but is a very pretty precise rack-proof vise some viewers might want to consider as a slightly less expensive alternative to Andy’s great vise. The use of the magnets/switches to incorporate a wagon vise concept without sacrificing full-width clamping in the tail vise is a really smart idea! Where do you find those mag switches? I think I’ll want to incorporate those into my new bench as well. Thanks again, great video, well shot and edited, and superb content.

I wouldn't call it a hybrid, but you have used the best of many bench designs that I've researched. The addition of the twin magnetic tail vises is all yours, beautiful. Visually I don't like the appearance of the mag switches on all that good looking wood. What do you think of having the magnets buried in your wagon the same as you did, but instead of the mag switches, insert another magnet from the end of the vise chop in a drilled hole? It could be pushed in with a dowel and pulled out with a bit of metal attached to the other end.

Question How do you keep the sawdust out of the gears?

What electrical connection did you have on your routers? That doesn’t look standard

Oh! Bye the bye… What is the primary wood for your top and your base?

What is the overall length of the bench

The dogs and work involved... ridiculous. So much wasted time and effort. Other than that, nice bench
