Hi ! Clear and concise video, thanks for the effort. I want to upgrade (Fan DD1). I'm very hesitant between the Asetek Invicta base and the SC2 Pro base. If you had to upgrade yourself, where would you go?
I upgraded from the dd1 to an invicta. It's so insanely better. If simucube is even better (might be) I only think that it could be better in the margins. What I love about the invicta is that I can fit whatever wheel I want on it through the USB link
Asetek is (seemingly) new to sim racing. I expect they have some growing pains to work out. But the gear I ordered from them works well, and for starters is quite good. I actually like the pedals. And the wheel. They haven't figured out their upgrade system yet, so I can't upgrade the hub. But I expect to.
Yes, i really have my fingers crossed for them. I like attention to visuals but theres still a room for improvement with efficiency. They are getting there for sure!
I have tried both and there both really nice and blindfolded you cant really tell the difference. If u have simucube keep it,if have a invicta keep it,there both great. I dont like asetek pedals at all though i like my simtrecs just fine
and if you were to be buying one today, which would you get? Does the extra price of Asetek worth it for a more modern QR system and USB C hub? Looking to buy my first DD and torn between these two. I also have Simtrecs btw.
@@CynicalManInBlack I went with Asetek because of what you just said. Simtrecs are so nice but not many videos or advertising for them out there and its shocking for as nice as they are. Lastly i think the Slew rate on the invicta is to me the very tiny slightest difference between the 2 but you wont ever be disapointed with Asetek and im not being a fanboy either because Simucube is a helluva wheelbase
All i know is that qr is expensive and all 3rd party wheels have their software so there shouldnt be no compatibility issues. Software is kinda ok. Nothing special to be honest. But I come from simucube, which still for me holds the title.
Nice review - great job. I'm really enjoying your content (and presentation). Keep up the great work. PS - That's currently the base I'm after when I build my rig.
i did try this ! i like the simucube better ! feels more real in compare with real car also quick realese is very ugly ..... on my opinion ! but they working very hard and thats super nice from asatek
Did you tweak the settings and turn anti oscillation on? I have this base and it made a huge difference and felt way better after messing with the settings. I have never tried simucube but im sure this is a very strong competitor with the right settings on both bases
Great content, keep it coming! You have a fantastic presenting voice and your photography is very nice to look at. How strong do you normally run your FFB on the SC2 Pro? The Asetek wheelbases are unusual to me since I just don't see them anywhere, nobody talks about them, I don't see anybody selling them?!
Thank You very much for kind words. I run my base at 25nm in true drive and depending on a car I tune ffb in simulator. Usually its around half of the real racing ffb.
i had a invictor and went to simucube . wouldnt have any from asetek given to me . i was down for 8weeks as kept cutting out on me . asetek customer care is shocking . 8weeks i couldnt use my rig and race as everyone was scratching there heads while trying to work out what was wrong and god forbid if its the weekend as leave you hanging and come monday you have to chase them back up !!!! fuck asetek . my simucube sports force feed backs feels loads better . but this is my experience and not every1 will get a shit hand like i got dealt. ps i like how you call them asstek lol sums them up with the invictor
@@simracingenthusiastreviews i've been totally been put off by the hole thing and would never go near them again. 3 new power supply's they sent to me and was still the same . then tried blaming my extension lead witch was fine for 4 months and fine now with my simucube with no problems . and the wheel stopped connecting to race hub to . in the end, i ended up getting a refund , well exchange for the simucube sport and f-core cubecontrol wheel and love it . the wheel is so much more comfy
@@theblaznee so you think leaving someone for 7 to 8 weeks with use of the equipment is OK then . Or should they have gone , no worries. Send that back to the vender and we'll get a replacement out straight away ?
