No that's not true at all. Stylistic advantages, game plans, and corners all come into play when 2 fighters meet. Most think Ali lost 2 out of three to Norton but does that mean Norton was the better fighter? Hell no. Ronda had 6 title defenses. Holm didn't even have one. More importantly, Ronda ragdolled Tate in two fights and dominated her, while Holm was manhandled, wrestlefucked, and choked half to death. Ronda knocked out Bethe Correia in about 34 seconds, while Holm needed three rounds, was down on the cards of all three judges, and was so timid, she was warned by the ref for stinking up the joint. Again Holm may have won but Ronda was undoubtedly the better fighter, and their's absolutely no room for debate.
Ronda did great things for women’s mma, she’s honestly the reason we have shevchenko, rose and Nunes especially. I feel like people give her too hard a time.
@@thenotoriousfinesser2907 conor???? Colby??? Its annoying everyone a little bit extra just because shes a woman who dare be cocky. And she had the right to be cocky. She was the ufc’s biggest star for a time.
Holly Holm put on one of the greatest striking lessons we’ve seen in MMA from start to finish. Loved it when it happened and love watching it happen again.
@@adammaes3519 it happens you fight the best and you get caught, she beat the hell out of tate and got caught in a chock at the last minute but she never ran away from fighting anyone. unlike Rhanda and Nunez.
A striking clinic on Ronda! She had absolutely no answer for Holly. The people who truly understand the sport know that Holly beats her every time. Ronda had a big mouth & she got it shut! Omfg just listen to her in this alone. No glove touch….ok well here you go hahaha! It was really gratifying to see. Demolished from the 1st sec on lol!!!
Holm is probably the most well conditioned female fighter I’ve ever seen. Just lean muscle mass for days. Great physique, great cardio. Holm doesn’t have to talk about how hard she works because her body says it for her.
I'd put Jedrzejczyk up there for cardio and conditioning too. Because she's only 115lbs she doesn't have knockout power, she won most of her championship fights by tiring out her opponents and then landing hundreds of strikes while they were too tired to respond
@@user-ct4mw5yw4g Joanna, from what I can tell is a bit of an arm puncher and isn't terribly rooted to the ground when she throws punches. That's probably why she isn't knocking people out. There are plenty of other fighters her weight that do a better job of knocking people out, so it's got nothing to do with her weighing 115.
@@JustSomeGuy69420 This comment thread is a year old, but sure. There's no one single factor for Joanna not being a knockout artist. She's 115/125lbs, there's just not a lot of weight behind her strikes. A big part of her gameplan is footwork, she can't be too grounded when she throws or she's going to get hit. She's a former IFMA champion so she learnt striking with much heavier gloves than are standard in MMA. Her technique is volume striking rather than bigger, more powerful shots (which has changed since her transition to MMA. If you look at her old Muay Thai fights she's a much more powerful striker, it just doesn't transition too well when your opponents are all black belts in BJJ).
It's hilarious seeing Ronda's pre-fight Scary Face. The biggest laugh is that she still says she's the best ever. One of the most satisfying KO's ever. Holly rocks!
What’s another satisfying knock out y’all like to see? This ko is honestly probably my favorite 😂 Anderson Silva getting KO when he was showboating is in my list too 😭
Too bad Rhonda tried standing with Holly and totally abandoned her Judo Rhonda’s arrogance was her downfall because no woman at that time was stopping her Judo
Such a satisfying knockout. Ronda’s last few years in the sport was unbearable. Her head had gotten so big! Her attitude was so nasty. That’s why she disappeared the way she did. When she got humbled, she knew her attitude had been out of control and she didn’t want to answer for it. She didn’t want to face the questions about it. Nor did she want to face questions of whether she was just a one-trick pony. She went out like a coward…as most bullies do.
She’s doing what they all have to do if they want to make more money and that’s to sell the fight. If you’re not up there believing or trying to be the best and talking you’re shit then there’s nothing in it for anyone .. the fighter or the PPV buyer
@@kingofthepond6612 The media was the vehicle that allowed her to gain millions outside the cage. After her fight with Nunes she had no more fights to sell, yet she still treated the media that helped her tremendously, like garbage.
You mean one trick when she has judo and very high level armlock skill. That's technically two skills Holm is one dimentional she can only strike well.
@@karries6342 All holly knows is punch and kick got worked by Tate lol Ronda technically has more than one skill set judo & arm bars and it's not one arm bar she had several variations. She just lacked striking and never had a high quality striking coach. If anything Holly was the true one trick pony. The least skills out of all of them. She was only good at countering that's it. Literally her only skill wasn't versatile.
@@louie8425 No just call it as it is in reality holly is the real one trick pony. She can only strike and she's only good at counter attacking. Watch her fights she sucks at leading with offence and attacking. But standing grappling judo and ground game armbars are two different areas and skills not one.
Holly showed class, at the start of the fight Rhonda refused to touch gloves with Holly, and when Holly knock out Rhonda, Holly didn't over celebrate, she even came close to see and looks like she was concerned on Rhonda's well being. That makes Holly a true CHAMPION in all aspects. Congratulations !!!
And if she didn't show any concern and even gloated over rousey, she would still be honorable and a better person. She would have been in her rights to do so. let's dispense with the childish and pompous judao christian bullcrap, ron. That nonsense is way passe' today. What if she did celebrate and leave ronda there lying in her own humilation? We should not care about ronda. She is a terrible person. Or at least was, back then.
@@babymammoth34 btw, when it comes to a person's character and sportsmanship it doesn't have anything to do with the person's religious believes - it could help or hinder a person to be good (imho) and in my comment I didn't mention about their religious believes, I focus on their skills and their character at that moment - people change. Bottom line - I don't mixed sports, a person's character with religion 🙏🙏
Holly has more than just profound skill and intelligence that she demonstrates in her fights, she also has dignity and class that Ronda will never have.
Too classy if you ask me. She screwed up for checking on and comforting ronda after knocking her flat. I never would have. I would have left her twitching there on the mat in agony. What was holly thinking? after being rudely trashed by ronda??
@@babymammoth34 Coming from the person who’s offended by a human being checking on the other she’s knocked out. Maybe after all these years, it’s you who needs to get a life and let it go son
Dana’s face and “pissed off” status is the best thing of that night. He can’t hold on his feelings, clearly worried about the ppv business going down for a while (until Connor) and obviously biased.
and he was right to be worried, every female fight sucks, and no one wants to watch, Nunes the champion cant even get youtube views let alone PPV buys, Ronda fought garbage fighters but she was so far ahead of them it was fun, now its garbage vs garbage no fun, no drama, on the mic Nunes sounds like a gorilla and not one human can say they enjoy listening to her, even Dana gave up on them, when men have a bad fight he loses it, for the women he doesn't even get mad, more disappointed or disinterested, unless they get a knock out he skips over their fights and pretends they never happened😂
@@bigzubber so every foreign person who doesn’t speak good English is a gorilla. While the rest of the world on average speaks more than a language and native English speakers, on average, struggle with other languages, that makes someone more gorilla than anything else. Also, what you said shows how mma is now full of causals, cause is not important who the better fighter is but who can act, look or attract more. That’s wwe, so you can all go there and leave the beautiful sport of mma for the ones who really love it.
Rogan contributed to the absurd comments on her “greatness”. You could watch her training videos with those absurd combos, the pointless attempt to shoulder roll, and the sloppy guard and sloppier footwork and know this was all a lie. Any striking she succeeded with in the octagon was due to her opponents preoccupation with her grappling
Not only did Holly outclass Ronda, Holly's team out-prepared and out-coached Ronda's. After the 1st round, Edmond tells Ronda, "Beautiful work, listen, all she wants to do is catch you with that left hand." No wonder he's no longer coaching anyone of significance.
I broke my feet today because I kicked my computer because someone commented that my videos are bad! I hate unjustified criticism. Please wish me a speedy recovery, dear erik
Yeah, fighters like that are hard to get behind of. I prefer the underdog most times but honestly I just want to see a good fight. When it's close too. That raises the bar to do better or adjust the next round or on the fly.
I am so glad that Holly didn't get a quick KO and we'd have to hear until the end of time that Holly "caught" her. Holly systematically took her apart. Holly moved like a jungle cat stalking her prey, Ronda moved like a roided-up cow.
No Ads, shows the entire thing from promo to fight, no bullshit added to it, on the best sport in the world rn, doesn’t get better than Larone!!! AND STILL BABY
I laughed so hard while watching it. The funny thing is she would've won, had she actually used her bread and butter. Miesha exposed Holly's ground game in her very next fight.
@@ey845 that was already after Ronda had been pummeled and likely concussed. As they say, a good beating will turn a black belt into a blue belt. Ronda already took Holly down with a simple trip prior, and nearly had the fight won, but as I said she was still hurt and unable to fully capitalize.
@@Sidowse To be fair her gameplan and the coaching and all the publicity around her killed her growth.. the best part was everyone back in the days brushing off the argument that Holly was a world class boxer betting on Rousey, Even Ronda believed she could box with Holly with all that media yesmanship and the stuff her coach told her... Truly sad cause as annoying as she was, she could've been a way more complete fighters actually growing with adversity... OH WELL what happened happened. Holly was beatable af for Rousey... Miesha just exposed Holm's grounds game so bad right after that fight But yea... She's been told by someone she trusts a lot that she is the best boxer in the world.... TBF... IDK why I play devil's advocate cause I really didn't like her and her bullying....
It is mindboggling to think just how much Rousey underestimated Holm. Why was Rousey trying to box her? Holms experience in a boxing ring up until this fight was insane and overall experience is not something to overlook. (38 boxing matches, 3 kickboxing matches and 9 MMA fights.) The way Rousey acted to her opponents the last couple years was so disrespectful. her ego got out of control and then she quit MMA because she could not handle defeat. She did it to herself.
she couldn't show her face after writing so many bad checks. her confidence was obliterated. she knew she was a one trick pony w a sham of a manager. good riddance
Yup, stupid Ronda spent too much time trying to out-strike a superior boxer instead of defending and looking for a good takedown. Also, her coach, total trash.
It wasn't just Ronda! It was everyone in her camp. Edmund had her and everyone around her (except Ronda's own mother) brainwashed. He even had Dana and Joe Rogan thinking she was a world class striker. Aside from Ronda's cringy bully persona, her trainer was the worst in the business.
Rousey “what makes me so confident to win? Because I’m the greatest fighter in the world” 🧢. Joanna icing her forehead at the post fight interviews was pretty funny.
Back when Ronda had a huge chip on her shoulder saying she could beat a pro boxer like Mayweather only to get schooled by one like Holly. Such a satisfying victory.
"Everyone who fights Ronda Rousey knows what's coming." You were more right than you knew at the time, Joe. Ronda was exposed as a one-trick pony. And we she finally got beat, she couldn't come back and win again. Couple that with her arrogance, and that's no champion in my book.

I can watch this Holm victory over and over, it was satisfying to see Ronda stop so many punches with her face. She was served a good portion of humble pie.
Ronda may have had the biggest, yet most fragile ego in sports history, and Holly shattered it. She woke up that night and that arrogance that was masquerading as confidence was gone. You could see in the fight against Nunes that she no longer had any genuine belief in herself. She went to professional wrestling, but couldn't cut it there because she's a terrible actor. And now she's going to try and be a gaming streamer. It's quite a fall. By far my favorite part of this whole story though is how every fighter that went and trained with Tarverdyan completely derailed their career and washed out of the UFC. Ronda basically took a bunch of fighters down with her lol.
Even her acting career hasn't been a major highlight either. In fact, in one of appearances, they had to edited her screen time down because she can't act. Even Gina's acting is far more deserving than Ronda's.
@@cs-zz7jd Dude her 1line in Furious 7 was fucking awful "not that charming bitch" hahaha i remember in the theatre i could hear this person in front of me say "god she's terrible" and i was sitting there just snickering during the entire fight scene 🤣

It was the first time she got to see Holly in person, chiseled body, cold stare, towering over her, not intimidated by the "Ronda mystique". This more than anything must have scared the hell out of her.
Blank stare, fast blinking and then tryna remove all fear by rushing and trying to intimidate Holly. She doubted herself for the first time ever and rushing Holly was her tryna prove she’s not afraid when she really was

Ronda Rousey's star burned out after that fight. Couldn't have happened to a better person. I play this over and over just to see her humbled. Listening to the preview she was God's gift to MMA according to her.
Most satisfying knockout in MMA. Remember all the people tryna make excuses for Ronda after this fight til she fought Nunes. Always hated Ronda for her shitty attitude.
Awesome this never gets old. Fighters like rousey that have no respect and behave the way they do forget what martual arts is about. She got what she deserved in the end they all do.
I remember so many people on here saying Ronda Rousey would beat Floyd Mayweather.. she couldn't even cut the cage off for Holly Holm, and Floyd's light-years faster.. 😬
Which is odd because she was 10-0 going into this fight. Funny how nobody was touting her perfect record, the obviously biased media was all, "Here's another one for Ronda's meat-grinder."
So I caught UFC for the first time by accident, it was Bonnar v Griffin. I was a fan for few years, stepped away and got invited out for this fight. NO IDEA who Rousey was, and I was saying to my friends, "White trunks is boxin' her up!" They doubted Holm would win after that 1st round, then that head kick sent the place crazy. Been a dedicated fan since.
Same here man I was a hardcore fan in the early 2000s to the early 2010's fell off for a bit and came back during the McGregor Era. Crazy to see how much the sport has evolved since than man. These fighters are so much more talented now
@@drunkenmmamaster419 It was insane, I wasn't feeling great and was just flipping thru the channels. It was the first round, it was live, everything was perfect timing. Of course I became a Khabib fan, now he's gone. But there are so many great fighters now, it's insane.
It's always surprising looking back seeing Dana calling Ronda the biggest star ever. It makes sense now looking back with her quicker and quicker finishes, her unbeaten streak and her crossing over to tonnes of different mediums like films, talk-shows etc. But when you think of someone like McGregor who was on at the same time and a much better presence and trash talker (and I think before she really got the ego, that Ronda was cool and had good charisma herself, just nothing on McGregor's level), also doing all kinds of media, it's pretty crazy.
