I have 2 Rovan Baja’s. One I tore down and bought it up with a TMR 30.5 long rod. Does over 60 on concrete. The other was custom rebuilt by Jeff from Eastside RC and Alan from TMR built a mean 37 for it that just destroys gears. Pretty sure it will do between 80-100. They are solid RCs. Have fun brother. Good luck getting traction with those pins unless you run in sand/dirt. I ran VP C12 and Amsoil Saber in the stock 30.5 and it was fine.
Awesome Lance, this will be a great backup piece to have when you burn it down at the park with your off road drag club. Rovan gear has gotten a lot of people into 1/5 scale!
I just subscribed ... I'm a motorcycle street racer who've just got back into rc cars ( I was last in it 2005) . I love to see our folks ( black) into this hobby . I haven't ridden any of my bikes since being back into this hobby . Back in the day , gas cars were the top RC cars to have , now Electric cars have taken over . Totally understand , but I still love gas cars and even though I realize I gotta get electric , I still love gas . I'm getting ready to start my RC channel . Love your content and hope to see more ... Like me (40+ years old) needing a hobby ...
1st off thank you for the subscribe🙏🏽 Yeah I'm 45 and love the hobby or lifestyle as I call it. Nothing wrong with electric cars, but gas is where I'm at. I have a few electrics but they don't get used much. Can't wait to see your content. I'll definitely be checking it out soon!

They are good rigs stock I like them a lot. The very first one I ever bought has a modded 34 in it and I haven’t touched a dang thing besides that. Takes a beating and keeps eating. Steering servo is bad now but it’s great in my opinion. People need to stop talking smack about them. I’m glad you got this buggy!
I not talking smack thats just the only part that I've have problems with is the out drive cups and come to think about it the diff gears to other than that it is a good car
@@kgm5512 just saying what happened to me with the rovan stuff not at all am I saying not to buy them with what I said you can put flm drives and kraken different gears and its just as good as a hpi shocks seem better than hpi you could replace what I said and still be cheaper than hpi
Hi I may buy one next month but I don't know where can I buy them I know some people sell them on ebay but they are to expensive but I was looking on the rovan store on Google and I found them cheap but I don't know if trust and buy ther can some one recommend me buy my first buggy ther
I feel like this car has a loose engine. The mount on the clutch side was terrible and it was broken inevitably. I think the rear chassis should be updated with a thicker one or a steel material around it.
Haha I built my bajas from scratch. I have 2 of them bro. I needed something to play around and test with. You should already know me when it comes to these cars. There are several of these crushing the competition in offroad races. Can it be better? Yes no doubt. But for the price it's really not bad with a couple upgrades as it fails. I can fix anything on this baja in a matter of minutes. I'm going to take you guys on its journey to success. Lol
