Hate to ask you Leslie about your edging changes on the Half Triangle wrap at such a busy time in your life but I much prefer your look. Wore mine for the very cold night of the 4th here in Seattle in my linen quill and it was perfect and cozy but for my next one, would love to make it look more “finished” with your help. And my vote is for the names of colorways, I will be purchasing Jawbreaker now that I know it! Happy Weddings and Happy Life to both your girls
ok, so much to unpack with this episode and the last few lol. First, Les, so happy for all the goodness and blessings in your life. Your daughters are beautiful, happy and you clearly worship the babes. If you don't finish the wraps for them.. PLEASE PLEASE don't stress, you're their mom and if you give them to them later, they will TOTALLY be ok with that. You are visibly (and understandably stressed) but they are your girls and they are fiiiiiiine with getting it afterwards. besides, they are going to be so happy and giddy that they won't care lololol. Since I saw Leslie’s corner to corner crochet blanket I have made 2 one with I LOVE THIS YARN from Hobby Lobby that is so soft and squishy and then another on with my stash of indie dyed single color sock yarns, which took longer but it came out so pretty!! I’m obsessed the the C2C like Leslie is with the half & half shawl😂🤣 I started my 3rd indie dyed sock yarn C2C. I find knitting socks, since I’ve made soooo many pairs my hands cramp up, but no issues with crocheting and I find it so enjoyable 🥰 I thank you ladies for showing me yours because it gives me something to make with all my gorgeous single skeins of indie sock yarn🥰🥰🥰

I’ve gotten into the mood to work on my wonderland shawl again I seem to want to work on it every couple of months and I’m just now getting finished with chart 3 of 6 after having the kit for two years at this point. It’s not that it’s a difficult pattern but there is a lot of moving parts and it just takes a lot of time and brain power. Love you guys.
Leslie - I wondered if that intarsia was a good choice since you had never done it before. I like your current choice of a shawl. Michelle - I feel the same as you about canned soup. My hubby likes Progresso canned soups but I won't eat them. Some of the pretty but heavy stitch markers I have become zipper pulls on some of my project bags.
Oh my gosh. I was sitting here mattress stitching a sweater for my husband while recovering from Covid and there is nothing better than watching and listening to the two of you. Your banter and friendship is priceless. And Leslie, I finally succumbed and bought some Linen Quill🤣. Leslie, It’s soap. The lead would come off all over your dress. It could also be the zipper itself….I’m hoping the soap does the trick. Aw, so endearing at 35:45 ... seriously, it is so nice to see how you all laugh together and are such good friends. I have a crafty friend who recently moved away and I really miss her. We would go to each others' houses and just sit and talk, I would knit, she would cross stitch, sometimes we'd order in some food ... it was one of my favorite things to do. Such a blessing to have a friend that understands the joy of just sitting, talking and doing something together. Also, I am 100% in agreement with the little animals on the phone cover. I get it, I feel EXACTLY the same about them! So cute, retro, vintage-y!! And yes to kitsch! What can I say? Kitsch sings to my tacky little heart!! And the giveaway of which you spoke ... HELL yes!! You wouldn't have to make ANYTHING look nice. I think it would be even MORE fun to sort through, not know what you were going to send, etc. Sort of a mystery box giveaway. I LOVE the idea!!!!!!! Also, if you ever want to do a yarn scraps giveaway that would be similar where you just put a bunch in a box would also be fun!! You seem to have tons of fun stuff you could do giveaways for!

I love your half and half shawl Leslie! The colors are outstanding 🥰🥰 I want to make one so bad but I’m not sure if I would get bored with just knitting with no others stitches to break it up. I have never used any Purl Soho yarn before. I have heard it mentioned (just a few times… lol) on the podcast before. So when I heard “sale” I jumped and have just ordered some linen quill yarn to make a sweater. I’m excited to try it!
I just finished my first half & half wrap and absolutely love it! Didn’t expect to like the linen quill but I love it too, so lightweight but yet warm. The best thing is I can wrap it around my shoulders or use it as a lap blanket over my legs. I immediately cast on a second and flying through it! Good luck with the upcoming weddings. As always a wonderful episode! Leslie, I saw that a couple of people said to try soap on the zipper, you can also try beeswax. I have used that several times! Have a wonderful time at the weddings!
My go too hooks are Susan Bates so I am very interested in that hook that is pointy. A giveaway like that is perfectly acceptable. Hell, if you give me some yarn barf I would love that too, because I find something very soothing about untangling yarn. That little wooden box can be a jewelry box for stitch markers.

I made a half and half wrap out of some other yarn I had last year and made the small size - but right this minute I’m working on my first with Linen Quill and it’s the large size - and I LOVE IT! The drape, the stitches, It’s so good! I’m using Dark Iris and Fresh Pickle - so a purple and green…so nice. I just finished the first skein and it’s about 10”

I just watched the Arkansas Yarn Co podcast and the daughter is getting married in October. She shared a bra she ordered to try. It is a misses kisses bra. It is backless and frontless.
For me it is Bit O’ Honey. I was riding his horse bare back, I guess I was daydreaming, my brother ran up jumped on the back end of the horse flanked him. The horse whip around while bucking, I flew off the horse into 2 big tow sacks full potatoes, the horse then kicked me in the leg.. I am like y’all. I have a baby blanket I have started and restarted.
Speaking of high shipping costs, for me to ship within Canada costs as much as it does to ship to the US. Which makes no sense, but the fuel surcharge on postage has also jumped $3 which doesn't help.
Take your yuk yarn and stitch a mandala into an embroidery hoop and display your favorite stitch markers on it... It makes a lovely addition to a wall in your yarn room.
Leslie, stop looking at patterns until after the weddings! You know you'll just frustrate yourself with wanting to do it all. What I'm saying is just don't take on more. My daughter tried the sticky boob holders when she was getting married and just did w/o when she got to the church. They were coming off and she isn't huge to begin with. The dress looked much better w/o a bra-dress was strapless.

Some good news, the doctor wants me to exercise the hand where the took the skin graft from my arm and I started working on the knitted Gansey blanket (worsted weight) that I started awhile ago and so far so good!!! Leslie this is probably too late to bring up but Jonna from Knit Together with Kim and Jonna knitted a top and sewed a skirt to wear to her daughter’s wedding and it was so beautiful. Just a thought. Michelle, the cardigan is going to be so pretty and that shrug! Gorgeous!!!!!
Hey ladies. So I homeschool my children and that illustrators bible would be absolutely PERFECT for my daughter. She is 9 and she loves to draw. She is really good too!! God given talent I guess. Meanwhile, im like you and can't draw a straight line. But my Layla has actually taught me some things ❤️

Hi Ladies! Leslie, I knit the Bennett Sisters shawl a couple years ago and it's great! I am not that tall, so it's perfect for me. I am allergic to Mohair (sadly) so I marled together the same fingering with Shibui Knits Lunar, which is 60% Extra Fine Fingering and 40% Mulberry Silk and it's so soft and gorgeous. In case Michelle wants to make one, I highly recommend that. I wasn't sure how my body would react to Alpaca at that time. I sometimes can't wear it because it makes me itch, but Mohair gives my skin welts and that's a bad look! I'm really thinking of ordering Linen Quill and making a half and half wrap. I have so much yarn and queued projects already, but dang! That is a nice wrap! Happy Fourth of July!!
I wish Leslie would stop saying, I don't care, I don't care cos she cares and she cares very deeply and very thoughtful. My Aunt turned 80 last year, i bought 3 yarn, multiple patterns and ended up not casting on cos I over thought it. Aunt has socks and shawl made by me 3,4 years ago, i know she would not mind that i didn't make the 80th birthday deadline. I love the Bennet Shawl, another good choice and yarn choice.

Always fun to "hang out" with the two of you ;o) We also have chickens (120 layer hens). I swear they are crazy animals! They poop in their own water source and food pans. Then there's always the broody one that sits on egs and gives you the evil eye when you try to gather them.
