The Chunky yarn would be great for my 8 yo granddaughter who is a new knitter. The scrappy could go in my blanket. My dog has a red and blueish dog treat toy that she loves. Thanks for all the fun!
Thanks for podcasting again! I have been watching you for years! I would love to have 3 of your items and could really use them. I am retired living on SS and love to knit every day. Love to have scrappy yarns, Lykke needles and chunky hat!! Exited! Your craft room looks beautiful Michelle! Enjoy it!💗
Love seeing you two again, and the puppy, and the afghans! A lot to see on this episode, thanks. Would love any of the giveaways as I do not have any of those items. 🌸✨(Lykke, chunky, stitch markers, chunky, yarn…)
Leslie, Cook with iron cookware, that helps your iron. I, too, had huge fibroids and periods with so much blood I couldn't get off the toilet for a couple of hours. I had to wait to get my iron up before I could have my hysterectomy so that's when I started cooking with iron pots. In two months, I was able to have the operation.
Glad to see you back. Lovely blankets your both working on. Our weather here keeps flipping from very cold to almost spring. I have been wanting to try the Lykke needles for a while and those numbered stitch markers would be great for keeping track of repeats or increase/decreases. Scrappy yarn is my jam! And that chunky yarn is gorgeous
Love the puppy! I have been looking to get some new hiyahyia needles and adapters. I have not tried any moon or lykke needles. It seems I’m always needing a needle or cable I don’t have. I keep telling my hubby I need to find someone’s old hook collection that they are no longer using. Crochet you just need the size hook and that’s it but knitting seems to need lots of different attachments. But I am totally addicted to both now.
Love the organizing you have completed in your yarn shire! Looks very good. I purchased your hiya hiya set a couple years ago. I'd be happy to add the hiya hiya extentions to the set if you haven't gotten rid of them. Let me know!
Love you two! Thanks for the laughs and fun knitting time I get to spend with you via internet. Michelle, I’d love the CHUNKY yarn! Take care ladies. See you again soon! ❤
A friend of mine suggested using Hoopla and Libby for audio books. They connect with your library card and they are free. I always loved a real book and haven’t read for years because I don’t have time for reading and knitting. I was shocked to realize how much I enjoy audio books and how often I have opportunities to listen. I’m hooked! Leslie, would live to know some of the knitting podcasts you like. Michelle I think your sweater is great and the blue/black transition is a-ok!
I’ve never tried lykke, most of my needles are hiya hiya interchangeable w some intermittent chiagoo and knit pro zings thrown in lol. I do like the chunky and the scrappy projects, and in the movie princess bride, the “ROUS’s” were rodents of unusual size. It’s what came to mind for the row 1 mini. It’s even a swampy kinda green ish. Adorable puppy, and beautiful crafting space!
Aww a new puppy in the house! I hope you share her soon. The scrappy yarn would be perfect for a Sockhead hat. The chunky yarn would also make a great hat.
I love listening to you guys! Thanks for all you do and for your generosity!!! I have one other Lykke needle and like it so would love winning another! And I am a sucker for a good hat kit. I would like to be put in the running for the chunky hat kit. I don't want to be greedy and get both so please spread the love around to as many people as possible!
Thank you for your timely podcast! I have been super stressed lately. What an awesome treat to decompress with your lovely podcast! I love your scrappy self-striping yarn! They are usually not within my price point, unfortunately! When we adopted our rescue beagle mix, she didn’t want to be in a crate. So we used a fence to block her in an area. It was a rather high fence, but she managed to climb and jumped and escaped. She chewed two clover bamboo needles and phone chargers. She had a lot of accidents in the house. Other than that, she’s an angel and very smart! We got her at 7 months! Hope you have tons of fun with Maize May, enjoy! I heard her on Instagram, she’s so adorable cute! Thanks for sharing ladies and for all the generous giveaways! Happy knitting!❤❤
The Hiya Hiya extenders are used to extend the needle tip...so you screw it on a 4" or 5" needle to make it longer so you can use it like a straight needle-easier to grip since it's longer. I use mine when doing a bind off instead of a circular needle (which can flop around on you). I think Leslie could use them....I use mine often-even tho I prefer my ChiaoGoo for my main needles.
So much joy in an episode. Our dog is getting older - German Shepherd and we are discussing a puppy soon. A lot of work - but so much joy! I also enjoy seeing all of the gadgets and such. Makes me chuckle! I’d love the scrap yarn. (I think code word was Scrap…) I didn’t want to scroll back to find the word lol. Have a great day/evening!
If I heard right (not going back to see) you said a row one mini was named ROUS. I believe that would be from Princess Bride, Rodents of Unusual Size. If I heard wrong ignore me, lol!
Another wonderful podcast ladies. Michele I love your blanket. The colors are beautiful. Leslie I am making the anthology throw also. I just did my second round of 1156 stitches. Good thing it’s an easy knit. I would love the scrappy yarn or stitch markers.
Lykke Love the pup! And I know what you mean about the silky fur! My 5 month old long haired dachshund has the softest fur! (Yes, they sleep in my bed lol)
I’ve had that happen with my eye a few times. It takes awhile to go away but it’s not a big deal. Most of the time you can’t even identify a cause and I read somewhere that it often happens while you are sleeping. With me each time, I woke up with it. I really like that book of pockets for cables. I’ll look that up.
Chunky AND Scrappy? Wonderful! Went to Lollipop Yarn, almost everything is sold out! Love that yarn and your socks. I really like the top of your sweater Michelle, more so than the bottom, go figure. So very happy to see y'all today, missed you.
I love the numbered stitch markers. I have some 1-10 which I use to mark my swatches with the different needle sizes I try and other uses. I would love the scrappy yarn. I could use it for my sock knitter machine for myself and gifts. Thanks for the fun podcasts! Yours is my first go to podcast
Scrappy bits are so much fun. I started 2 Scrappy blankets this year. I never use knitting needles larger than 4mm. After years of being anemic and the Dr talking about the infusion I started a better type of supplement and I just crossed the line to normal, although everything else was still low. Hope all is well.
The stitch markers numbered 1-20 sound interesting. ? Ouija markers? Head 'em my way if you dare. And I don't feel sorry for you. They're just cute. Great one you two.
I am an avid reader, but I also love my knitting and crochet. I get my books for free cause I'm cheap and I'd rather buy yarn, hooks, needles, etc. So now I get my ebooks and audible books from the library and free from Amazon Prime. Is it worth it? Absolutely! I go through so many of both that I would be destitute paying for books. And I'm spoiled! I enjoy living indoors and not having to eat from dumpsters!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So impressed with your new yarnshire! And it was fun to see Grace. Now we need to see Leslie’s new baby! Thanks for all you guys do to get your podcasts to us! Oh, and Chunky!
Leslie- an iron drip is the best thing you can do for your iron levels. I took iron meds for years- with all their side effects and was never at a point where I no longer needed to use them. Three years ago I had three iron infusions within six weeks and have never needed any supplementation since. I highly recommend it🌸
I am similar took iron meds for years but suffered with cronic upset stomach from the oral meds, I also had iron injections unpleasant skin discolouration and loss of taste with that. Then I received an infusion, this was a life changer no side effects and my iron levels are far more stable
I was actually thinking of buying some of those number stitch markers! They would have been useful for my last project. I would be happy to take them off your hands😊
Hello ladies, thank you for anohter wonderful episode. I was watching a lot good stuff on the Daily Wire but needed something happy today. So your podcast was the perfect choice. Regarding the reading: I can totally relate to what Leslie said. Although I am a big fan of audible I need to dive into a physical book just to make sure every once in a while I am only doing one thing at a time. As Michelle said I too didn't want to give up reading or knitting so audio books are a great resource.
Great to see this new podcast. The Lykke needles will be wonderful. Presently I'm using needles with two different lengths. Scrappy yarn, Yes, for cute stripe socks. I like the colorway for the chunky hat. Maisy is so cute. I would love to see video of her playing.
Good to see you two again..I was wondering if you fell into the great abyss. Lol Michelle , dont apologise for your eye , its not your fault and I hope it heals really fast and love your yarn room, those see through bins are awesome!! Leslie that shawl is just stunning and congrats on your new puppy. Take care ladies love from Down Under xox
Hi ladies, I have a Stanwood and would love to try that "pink thing". I have had practice using a drill to wind sock yarn onto a cone for using with a sock machine.
Michelle, I love your granny square blanket! The muted colors are gorgeous. I'm also trying to get my knitting supplies in order. It just takes me too long to find things. Having said that, I could take the 24-inch Lykke's, off your hands! I'm definitely the person who uses two circs for sock knitting. I hope your eye heals quickly. Leslie, I love the Velveteen Rabbit "page" on your wall. One of my favorite children's stories.
Michelle, I’m so happy that your enjoying the peace of your newly organized yarn room. i would definitely love to have my own knitting room. I also hope your eye gets better. Freaky thing that happened🤦♀️ keep us posted..
Great podcast, as usual; it's always fund seeing your projects. Your new puppy is soooo cute. I would love to give the Lykke needles a try or the scrappy, self-striping yarn.
Hey Michelle, you have a subconjunctival hemorrhage. It's like a bruise. People often don't know they have one until someone else says, "what's wrong with your eye?" It's like a bruise, goes away in about 10-14 days. Yes, I'm a mostly retired optician. Enjoy all the sympathy from others!
I've joined the new puppy club. We have a new 3 month old Pug puppy. You forget how much work they are. I have 3 older dogs that are helping me with potty training etc...I would like to try the Lykke needles.
I have a Hiya Hiya interchangeable set and I love them. I would love the extenders. Would totally pay for shipping as well. Sorry about your eye. The crocheted blanket is just gorgeous!!!!!
I would love to be entered for the Lykke needles. I have one small inexpensive set of interchangeable needles & I hate to admit that I still use terrible plastic circular needles ($1.99 on clearance 15 yrs ago). Love listening to your podcast and hearing your knitting and puppy stories. 💜 Scrappy yarn is always good yarn for me. Stitch markers, I could always use. I could use it for row markers .
Love seeing pictures of your yarn shire. I was listening/watching you all while I’m trying clean and organize my closet. I’ve played a marathon of episodes today. Also love it win the scrappy yarn. Love your podcast
