Hi Michele, hello Leslie. Love seeing all the knits and also the crochet you do. The advent boxes, so exciting I never had one but am thinking about it now. Thanks for your video. Take care girls xxx
The lowland bag reminds me of our trip to Holland back when I was a kid. The Potter bag reminds me of living in England also when I was a kid so thanks for the many great memories.
I was so looking forward to my knitting and podcast watching this week with you two ladies. Thanks for sharing ! I personally do enjoy the Stellaris yarn, but I have only used it in stockinette, with a very similarly coloured yarn. That Potter bag is soo cute!
In my last job I was getting up at 6 and wore scrubs all day so I didn’t feel like I was looking after myself. In this job I start much later and I feel like I want to look after myself better. Hopefully the next job will be even better 😂
Sometimes instead of looking for needles I just went on Amazon and bought some, now I realised I have no money left , I need start looking for things first .
Ladies, please know you are a gift to so many of us. I LOVE Delft--have a little blue Delft bell a Dutch friend gave to me. I would LOVE the Lowland bag (lowland?).
Ok. Super excited to see the green linenquil as that is the second color in my half and half and it is knitting up in your sweater exactly how I pictured it. So happy with my choices, haha. (This was so your fault, but I'm ok with it!!!) Carrie, I believe, was sewing a temperature quilt. I vaguely remember her making triangles with the high and low colors.
Thanks for the lovely knitting company! I love the Potter bag! It is so cute and reminds me of the series that my kids grew up with! Wishing you and your family a happy, joyous, and memorable Thanksgiving! 🦃
Love jagermeister too. It's best kept in the freezer and drink ice cold. Then it warms up the body best. Works also good when you have the flu or a cold. Have to find some rootbeer over here and try your recept, sounds yummy. Love your knitting and crochet and the conversations. Keep it up ❤
Thank you ladies for an enjoyable knit break from work this afternoon. I've been sick for 3 weeks now, and it was just what I needed. That Potter bag would be right at home here in Potter County, Pennsylvania. Just saying!
Love that skirt, crochet has made a comeback this year. Especially the granny squares, I’ve seen so many jackets/ cardigans recently. Love your podcast 😊
I like watching your videos for the crochet and knitting fun, and the Jagermeister comment took me back to the 80's. But nothing beats the comment that you both like black licorice! It's been my favorite since I was a kid but not a flavor many others agree with me. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families.
Oh, the allure of the temperature blanket! I agree with Michelle and I have found a solution…I am going to knit one using the temps from the year I was born. This way I can knit without the obligation of keeping up.
@brandykai1, How did you find out each day's temp. for the whole year you were born? That must have been a lot of researching__first, to know what day of the week you were born then, 364/5 days afterward. 😱 Cool idea for a gift, though! 💖🙌😺
Michelle, your daughter is going to love that blanket. Not only is it made with a mother's love, but it's really beautiful! The Beatrix Potter bag is so adorable... that fox, playing it coy, and fluffy geese. So cute!
Thank you ladies for sharing your knitting and lives with us. The lowland bag is so lovely! It does need some knitting in it! The Beatrix Potter bag is cute. My Mom loves to paint and she did a series of paintings from the stories. She won many 1st prize ribbons for them. They are still hanging in her house. She just recently started knitting. That would be a great bag for her! Thanks for your generosity!
I so look forward to your podcasts! Linen and quill has become my new favorite yarn thanks to your joy using it! Both bags…Lowland and Beatrix Potter are lovely! I would enjoy using either one
Thankful for you ladies doing this podcast. I think I stumbled on to you about 1 year before Michelle and Michael moved to the sticks. You two are my type of peeps. I homeschooled my kiddos and if I lived a little closer ,I'd probably try to encroach on a knit night, lol! Now hurry up and go pee! Ha ha! Oh, I would surely love that Beatrix Potter bag. THAT reminds me of my mother. She loved those books and bought the big book for my kids. I
Happy Thanksgiving! The Lowland and Potter bags are sooo cute. Got to watch you while I tinked back many rows of a sweater sleeve. Something fun during something bad.
Love your podcast and of course the cute bags. The Lowland one reminds me of my childhood - I grew up in Dutch community in Iowa- the blue Delft was everywhere! Of course the Beatrix Potter one is just as sweet. Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! Thanks so much for all you do! And yes, it’s Leslie’s fault but I did finish the Sophie! I have never purchased an Advent Set but after seeing yours . . . .darn it!
Finally a chance to watch this today! You are both so sweet and considerate. The lowland bag is adorable, I've never seen fabric with that pattern💓. And the potter bag....swoon!! Thank you for another fun podcast.
Don’t ever feel bad for what you have. You ladies have done the work to create the podcast and accumulate followers who adore you and like to send you gifts. I absolutely love watching people show their gifts in their purchases it’s so much fun! Especially the advent calendars as I am never quick enough to snag one up!
@Leslie. I’m so glad you are frogging that sweater. The colors were not working for me either lol. And I just bought my first quantity of Purl Soho linen quill. Excited to try that yarn. Got a sweaters quantity and a pattern.
I love Potter!! For Christmas I'm making knitted bunnies that I am dressing in Victorian clothes. Thank you for the give away. Happy Thanksgiving. Blessings.
I love your podcast - I feel like I’m knitting along with friends! I absolutely love both bags - the lowland bag reminds me of my sweet grandma and I love the Beatrix Potter bag so much! You are both so generous
You could give the blanket to Renata when she is home for Christmas and then you get to see her open it but still mail it to her when she leaves so she doesn’t have to check luggage on the flight
Hope you both have a fantastic Thanksgiving. I have found so many great accessories and yarn because you highlight them on your podcast, keep up the great work. You are helping small businesses out there and allowing so many to spend time with you. You are both great and always make me smile!
I love the Stellaris when it’s the same color as the yarn I’m using (per suggestion from LYS) and I normally also add with strand of mohair. Here’s a picture from the LYS working it with a Sophie Scarf (I was hoping it included the finished piece which is absolutely beautiful!). … I’m starting it with a Bulky Sunday Sweater (which I’m also frogging back all the way to the collar after realizing I didn’t purchase enough Shibui (to double strand with the bulky) and realized the Stellaris is a less expensive option, so will be reworking with the bulky, single strand Shibui, and single strand of the Stellaris. I’m can’t wait to get the sweater on my needles off so that I can get the Sunday sweater frogged back and restarted (but also debating the cardigan… decisions, decision…) I love all the items you all knit and work on, knitting along with your podcasts are a joy!
I've enjoyed hanging out with you two for these past many years. So, THANK YOU BOTH for entertaining me, a few tears, and sometimes wet pants from laughing so much. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving ~ Bless you both ~ Hugs, Lacy xoxo
Hi ladies. Thank you for your podcast. Both bags are beautiful, but my favorite is the Lowland blue bag. I hope you have a nice Thanksgiving! All the best! Sheila
Happy Thanksgiving, ladies. Always enjoy catching up with you two. Hugs from Deep South Texas. - PS love the potter bag and the lowland bag as well as the Crocheted skirt.
I really love watching you guys. You always have such wonderful projects and you share so much with us. The Lowland bag is gorgeous and the Beatrix Potter bag is just so cute! The skirt is beautiful, too, but I am a very experienced crocheter (over 32 years) so it would be better if someone else won that since I have several crocheted skirts I’ve made myself. Thank you for your generosity and for letting us join in your hang out time together.
Hi you two, Just love your projects and your crocheted blanket is coming along very nicely, Michelle. Whenever I want to lower my stress and anxiety, I go right to the Knotty Knit Wits. Your podcasts are so relaxing. You may not think that's the case, but I swear it works. And I love your variety of subjects. I don't know if you'll see my comment, but have an absolutely relaxing, enjoyable Thanksgiving.
I ❤ the Lowland bag. Reminds me of my heritage. Something my mom used to say - If you ain’t Dutch, you ain’t much! Love your podcast and I love seeing all the things you get from others and your own purchases.
It's very thoughtful of you, Michelle, to consider what people who maybe don't get so much are feeling, but I also think people tune in to not just listen and watch you guys, but also be exposed to all the cool, beautiful yarn and accessories that are out there. I do think it's very nice that you mentioned it though. Also, the lowland and Potter bags are both so nice!! Grateful that I found you guys and started watching when I did ... I think it's been about a year now! Had to jump back on and add ... So glad you didn't pee your pants!!! LMAO!!! 😂
I have added the Strata Beanie to my Ravelry Queue. Thank you for that idea. The Beatrix Potter bag is super cute. I have a collection of Beatrix Potter books on my shelf that i can’t wait to read to my grandson due Nov. 29th. 😊
Love the low land, or lowland, bag. It reminds me of my grammy’s Danish Royal Dalton figurines that I have now. The potter bag is so cute, too. If you haven’t seen it, Miss Potter is a great movie. I’ve watched it a bunch of times now.
Happy thanksgiving to you both, loved the sock such an interesting pattern. I think it’s a great idea to rip back the sweater Leslie especially as you were totally unsure about it and the fact it wouldn’t fit properly. Better to reuse the yarn into a sweater you will wear. It was Helle Stewart you were talking about and her Knitvent patterns so far I’ve started the circular throw and made the cowel the mitts and 2 of the hats quick easy patterns, I also love the percentages of how much you’ve knit, my friend on the My Yarny Corner podcast has finished the throw she said it was addictive knitting she couldn’t put it down lol. That little delft project bag is so cute wish I was eligible to go for it . Stay safe love and hugs to you both xx
And Ladies, I would love to use the Potter bag as well. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving--we out here are surely thankful for you both. I look forward to watching you every two weeks! Don't stress--enjoy your holiday season and jump into those Advent knitting calendars!!
Happy Thanksgiving ladies! I always love your podcast episodes ... your sense of humor is delightful. I totally understand making purchases because they make you think of a loved one, like your lowland bag .... it's adorable too! And that Potter bag ... TOOOOO cute!
Buying Christmas gifts for loved ones is hard especially when looking for something you want the other person to like and that other person is extremely hard to buy for. My hubby and I have spent 32 Christmas mornings together. And for the 33d this year, we will do the same thing. Buy what we want and let the other person know what they got us and how much we love it. It works. lol.
love the lowland bag. i collect the dishes. thank you for another enjoyable night. happy to know you made it to the bathroom in time. have a good night.
Regarding sharing your goodies received on the podcast, what Inge at The Traditional Knitter does is save them until the last and then gives everyone a heads up when she shows purchases/gifts so that they can leave.
You two are hilarious, I truly enjoy listening to you while I knit away on my projects or as entertainment when I'm ready to relax or while I'm doing laundry, you crack me up with your abrupt humor! :) oooh! I love the Loland bag! Hopefully I spelled it right. It is so cute!
