Rowter Hole is a vertical limestone shaft located in the Peak District National Park near Castleton, Derbyshire, England. It is a popular site for experienced cavers and potholers.
Its known for its significant depth, reaching approximately 182 meters at its current deepest point.
It presents a challenging and technical cave system that requires specialized equipment and skills to explore safely.
Over the years there has been constant digging projects that always seem to reveal more hidden passage ways and unseen chambers, given the location of this cavern and being so close to big systems such as peak cavern its exciting to see what other untold mysteries could soon be revealed here.
