I like these mines that have everything still in it, as it was the day it was abandoned. The history and story's behind them says it all. Amazing place...
Though it may seem like another day for you Poms, in an abandoned mine, you have to marvel and respect, those who came before you, who built those amazing walls of stone. Now, long gone.
It's about 38 years since i was last down there about 1982/83 opened it up as a show mine back then but was a bit off the beaten track to get alot of visitors,

WE go in here often both above and below the water and in recent years we have noticed a LOT of movement as its on a hillside I fear there will be a major collapse at some point its like the whole cilelng is moving downhill
Beautiful video Tony I'd love to see down there. I hope someone re stacks the walls and braces the bowing sections, I know it changes the integrity of the mine but still it could save it for another generation.
@@undergroundexplorersc9c270 it's the way we got in ther .. the gate was locked. So we looked around and round a hole through the hill side going in to the mine
@@undergroundexplorersc9c270 your the reasion I learned srt to do the through trips in north Wales. Do you know about if you can still do crosser mine aka the bridge of death ... is that trip still doable do you know like are the ropes still safe and had the bridge over the lake been fixed ?
