I 100% love that this is a SLOW stitching project. I don't feel rushed to produce something...gives me time to plan. Plus I have time to work on other crafty projects. Thanks!

Hi, I really wanted to thank you for your slower pace and recognise that during this time there is a lot of thinking happening and that things speed up later. With work and other life events it is lovely to have the time to create thoughtfully. I absolutely appreciate the sharing of knowledge in this event!

I’m really appreciating the pace you are going!! I’m not a fast stitcher and value the pondering time we have, it’s such a delicious part of the creativity , daily I’m am in the beautiful space of colours, textures and imagination while doing some of the more mundane tasks in a day. I also work intuitively, the work speaks to me, as I go, or when I’ve made a happy‘mistake’!!! Thank you thank you, this is a perfect pace for our slow stitching….not rushed, and not stressful!! X

Thank you thank you 🙏😊 i can’t thank you and your sister ( and of course your amazing mother) enough for starting this amazing project. I have always been amazed with slow stitching and watching Pinterest and thinking 💭, I will never learn and now I have the opportunity. I love you work slowly and tell how and why 👍😀 I have troller in my living room and love to sit and sewing and relaxing in the evening. I have learned SO much already. I don’t have a lot but I am sewing and learning and that is the meaning 👍🙂 I am a bit behind and haven’t made my front page because I got ( you know what 😉). But I will make it to the last because I think it will look better when I have been a better sewer. A huge thanks again Tina 👩🏻‍🎨😊- Denmark

I was late starting slow stitch, although I've been doing it since I can remember, but for purpose, not art. This is funner. Months ago I think I commented that I was going over journal 1 again for a refresher course. Well, I'm doing it again. This journal is so good for the basics, as well as the inspiration. Thank you for your generous welcome, wishes and support to all your stitchers. I would be flattened without your creative infusion and I love this.

Needles....Cotton Darners....John James brand.....Size 7. My own go-to. As my eyes and hands have gotten older, not the attitude though, I prefer these....I can feel the needle in my fingers and thread the eye! I think the feel of the needles has been the most important to me.

Really appreciated hearing you explain how you think through what you will do on a piece of your work. Enjoying the classes very much. I am the lefty and, thanks to you, can easily do the quilter's knot! Yippee! I also appreciate the pace as I am a beginner and also go to work. However, no postings of my project on to FB or anywhere as I am intimidated by all the 'pros' finished projects. I contracted double vision three years ago and have very wonky stitches and go about the sewing very slowly. Much thanks and hugs to you (Sarah and Rachel).

Love watching you lay out and stitch things in place. I'm behind with just fabric and lace picked out. No stitches yet. Hoping to stitch this evening. I have a few OCD tendencies and like uneven numbers or groupings. I think it is a balance thing. If you have an uneven group you have an exact center represented. The second thing or middle. A balance point. It makes sense to me even if the center is not actually holding anything up. It balances something in my brain. We were doing some rearranging in the house and I was taking away or adding to get uneven groupings. Tried to explain the balance thing to my husband.He shook his head and left me to it.
@roxycreations679
@roxycreations679 2 года назад
Yes that's what it is! When it's uneven you have a center. I love that! Don't worry there's no hurry. Thank you so much!

Brenda, in the world of interior design odd number groupings force our eyes to move around athe grouping and so thet forced movement is the heart of visual interest. It's for that reason that a set of three is more appealing and memorable than something paired off in two's. It also works in our artwork. Hubby can rest assured that design principles have long known odd numbers are visually appealing. 😁

I’m very happy to know that I’m not alone in working in different directions. I find that even though I’ve stitched my background, I’m not quite sure what I want to do with it next until I can see my bunny. So I work on him for a while. I think the pace is very relaxing and am happy we are doing the project at a casual pace. Thank you for allowing us to work at our own paces. Just adding my two cents, I like that this series is slow paced for several reasons. One because I’m slow at this, and busy with other things, (just like you said) and also if I feel I can’t keep up then I won’t stick with it and I really want to stick with this. So I’m a fan of the the slower pace. If the faster stitchers want they can make 2 pieces each month! Just my opinion, thanks for allowing it. 😀

I'm very interested to see what you plan to do with the circles and might wait and see if it is something I want to try and add to the block.
