@@jeffreygunn3530 Yes sir! It will eliminate illegals from voting, and dead people from voting. My friends father voted and he has been deceased for 10 years.
An ID card doesn't prove you are a US citizen. Voters should be required to prove they are US citizens by providing either a birth certificate, a passport, or a certificate of naturalization. It's unbelievable how behind this country is, compared to other countries, in regards to discouraging people to stay illegally. All the other countries have a passport check when you enter and when you exit, so if you overstay on a tourist visa, you'll be entered in the immigration system and will be banned from entering again for a period of time. Here, we have a passport check only when you enter the US, nothing when you leave.
@@philip54073 what if you needed all that to get the ID card and the card is designed to be hard to forge with watermarks, holograms, etc.. They should also allow people who didn't think ahead to present those things at the polls and get a temporary. But we know what Dems are concerned with. They WANT the illegals to vote, but ALSO they know that the people who vote for them tend to be people who don't have their sh*t together to get the documents required, even if they are citizens.
In México, every citizen of a certain age gets an INE which is a voters ID. Actually, it's reserved for Mexicans alone! Foreigners cannot take part of neither State nor National Elections EXCEPT that they are citizens and have their INE. As a resident, just like the citizens, you're issued with a CURP which is an ID that can you must have to open a bank account, to conduct affairs, to prove your age and where were you born and sex. Also, it used along with another ID to apply for a driver's license and part of the requirement to get a Social Security Number and Document called a CARNET. To use the public health system - Hospitals, clinics, government run pharmacy, you need to present your CARNET otherwise, they will not attend to you except it's an emergency like when you're brought in by ambulance. You'll have to attend private clinics and hospitals where they charge for their service. To access your status, history online of your employment, you need two numbers - CURP and SSN. Anybody having that information can check you out. Anyway, it's a bit 'prehistoric' that noncitizens can vote in US elections!😲🤭 10, 000 of people can enter the US and vote and then leave if they are paid right. What a weak system!😮😮
Dems wanted our borders wide open for this very reason. It's ridiculous and shameful we even have to have a vote for this. UNREAL how the democrats operate
Have fun getting your birth certificate in less than five weeks if you live in another state. If you have the money for it. This is an intentional barrier to prevent the poor from voting, that's why. And overwhelmingly the poor don't vote for Republicans. Got it?
States rights. They can choose to hold elections however they want. If you don't like how your state conducts elections you can lobby for change or just move to another state of your liking.
@@josephkostinko739 Federal Primacy takes priority over "states' rights". The CotUS requires that all voters are citizens, any election where anything less than 100% of votes cast can be confirmed to be cast by citizens are illegitimate and unconstitutional.
@@DevilTravels Have you never seen how people have gone to the polls and found that they had already voted? How does that happen if they require an ID to vote?
@@kseismoloj When investigated, it is often found that some did a mail in vote then tried to vote in person...either on purpose or because they forgot. Some found out their ID had been stolen and some radical right winger was the culprit. Still, those people are offered a provisional ballot which is later checked for validity. Either way, a person's ID is checked during the process. In a few cases, there were clerical errors with similar names that were removed from the voter roles. And in lesser known cases, politicians had voter rolls cleared without the voter's knowledge. That's why verification of registration is important, especially in states with corrupt governors.
@@DevilTravelsNope, many states issue ID to illegals. Some states tried to make the ones for illegals look different from a citizen, or legal residents, and Dems sued saying it was racist and illegal to identify them as such.
This is a critical issue. Everyone should be making a phone call to their Senator's and member of Congress and demand proof be required to vote and prove you are legitimately an American citizen.
So you should, ID must be required in all cases, think about it, illegals would otherwise vote and since there are millions of them they can swing an election. In my case for many years I didn't bother getting ID until it became apparent I couldn't get a loan etc (I gave my money to my wife so she paid the bills etc) because I had no credit history or passport. There were cases of Afro-Caribbeans being deported from the UK in spite of the fact they had served in the British Armed forces, had lived happily in the UK for 50 or more years but because they didn't go abroad, they didn't need a passport or other identity documents. A big scandal in the UK as some were deported when they came to the attention of UK jobsworths in the Civil Service. Alas it is a necessity nowadays, so grimace and bear it.
the really bad thing, NGOs are helping illegals to get ss numbers along with drivers licenses so they can get on medicaid and receive benefits(housing, debit cards, healthcare all on the taxpayer's dime) in some places. That was from a youtube channel interview with an illegal in NYC awhile back. So even if they show an ID, they might get to vote because they can get registered to vote without it being vetted properly just like at the border. It's insane how bad this country has fallen. Something has to be done or this country is lost....I just hope it's not too late to fix it.
@@michaelparrish755 Is that somehow supposed to qualify as a serious question? Mail in voting must be reserved solely for absentee ballots for military personnel. Only in person voting should be accepted for US citizens while in the US? How is that complicated for you to comprehend?
Yes, it is very frustrating to see how many people think there is no state ID system already in place. It demonstrates how uninformed those people are that vote.
Yeah, but when you buy a gun, the FBI will run a background check to see if you don't present a danger, but also if you're a legal resident (US citizen or on green card)
@@DaBlaccGhost Paper allows for a record of the vote that can be recounted at a later date. Digital can be manipulated at the source or even remotely depending on the storage device. Or are we being sarcastic ?
@@truthmatters8241 Well, duh! Proof of citizenship is required to get an ID that is valid for voting. No proof of citizenship, no ID that is valid for voting.
To prevent disenfranchisement of voters (see poor people, military voters, elderly that can’t leave their house, native Americans who don’t have an address) and poll taxes. You realize illegals can’t vote in federal or state elections already right?
Needed to be fixed 2 years ago, not enough time now, so just add 22 million votes to the dem side, and that is what has to be overcome, know that! The plan all along, what else could it be, there is no reason for the open border!
Agree! I brought my certificate of naturalization during the primary when I voted. The poll watcher didn't know what to do with it. Which shocked the hell out of me. I am planning to apply to be a poll watcher.
From a fellow patriotic American in another state, THANK YOU. You're doing a service to this country by electing the best elected official in Washington, Congressman Chip Roy.
@@vonnano3561 ahh, now you’re asking the right questions. One theory on why Joe and the dems opened the border wide open is for more voters, and so they can stay in power.

Yrs, it's insane that some people think ID isn't required to vote. I'm guessing these insane people have never voted and have not gotten a state ID. Maybe that's a good thing.
Why do we need to add laws based solely on right wing rhetoric and fear of something none of you can prove is happening? Why pass laws based on the inability of the Right wing base to understand the voting process or use critical thinking?
We had a system in place where those with a serious reason to not be able to vote in person could vote by mail. Hear me out, apply for the ballot, give reason, get Approved, and a ballot is mailed. Mass mail in ballots is ripe for fraud.
The U.S. used to criticize other countries crooked elections. Hmmm, now the U.S. is worse about voting. Why would anyone not want to prove citizenship before being allowed to vote? There’s only 1 reason and that is that you want to CHEAT!

The last presidential election we had big problems. We had some states mailing voting ballots out to residents only With no name. With neighborhood drop boxes. Early voting created big problems. Local authorities did not know who was registered to vote and who was Not registered. Voting ballots found in storage that was never counted. Some states had voter machines, computer malfunctions. Some states took weeks before they could certified the election. After the election voting ballots were found that was never delivered. When we had no early voting same day voting at your local precinct, only mail-in ballots for the military, the elderly and those with medical conditions, we did not have these problems. Everyone that is A American citizen that has registered to vote should receive a Voters ID just like Driver's license. If you are a non citizen, you are not allowed to vote. Some states and local authorities are trying to give non-citizens the right to vote.
@@truthmatters8241 right,… Proving citizenship is what you would do when you “register“ to vote, showing ID at the voter polls would show that you are the person who “registered“. It’s too easy for non-citizen immigrants to vote in this country. Non-citizens can get state id’s or a drivers license. If you have that, and check ‘yes’ on the box on the form that asks if you are a u.s. citizen, and give an address, you can register to vote.
