It's a shame Roy died so suddenly. He was just starting to gain a whole new follwing of younger fans who discovered his talent. His best song as far as I'm concerned was " Blue Angel" from 1962.
Smoking 3 to 4 packs a day, gaining alot of weight, when not touring and losing, alot of weight when Touring, drinking alot of soda and chocolate milk everyday .
He died this same year! The funny thing was growing up and liking his music.. I thought he was way older. When I heard he had died in 1988 and was only 52…I remember thinking WHAT!?!?!? I thought he was in his 60’s or even 70’s!
Déjà 35 ans.. et toujours actuel et son talent vibre parmi nous et quel musicien hors pair ... MERCIIii de le connaître, comment ai je pu dans mon Panthéon musical l ignorer, pardon! MERCIIii encore Monsieur !... Vous portez la couronne!. Avec mes prières d AMOUR ❤️
I don't remember if it was Carl Perkins' biography or Johnny Cash's autobiography but, as a joke, one of them bet Roy that he wouldn't grow a ponytail the last time he was visiting at their home & they didn't know that he'd grown it until they attended his wake & saw him with it in the casket, then, they busted out laughing in front of everyone.@@James-Noris
