Royal Enfield Classic 500 Raw - Filling Gaps - Holsworthy to Launceston
This dates way back to June 2022' and starts at Holsworthy in Devon and ends in Launceston Cornwall, aboard Ernie my Royal Enfield Classic 500 in chrome/graphite. It follows on from two previous 'Raw' videos that I filmed on my way home from shooting 'No Roads to Marsland Mouth'. As I haven't had opportunity to film recently I thought I would use it as a bit of a gap filler. I realise it isn't everybody's cup of tea But don't worry, I will get back to what passes for normal as soon as the correct stars align. If you are one of the few that enjoy this sort of thing, I have put links below to the first two, as well as a link to the 'Marsland Mouth' video, which is one that I really enjoyed making. I gave myself the challenge of motovlogging in an open face helmet, had a great ride, went to a very beautiful location and flew my drone around (without crashing it).
Sound recorded with a Tascam DR-05X with a wind muff, placed in the rear pocket of my backpack.

I did a five-hour ride in Birmingham and the Shropshire Hills today on my Classic 500. Came home, grabbed a beer and watched this! Can't get enough of this bike!

Lovely vlog. Here in the Northern Rockies spring comes slow. Listening to the single poke around your English lanes is quite endearing. Must say, if I ever get the chance to come over and rent a bike, I’d have to go for the BSA.

Hi Jeff. I ride that road quite regularly and I always have a helmet camera running when riding. For some reason when I play it back my footage never sounds as good as yours did then. Nice one.

What a lovely road for a spin on the bike, SB. There's something about the sound of a single cylinder engine. My recently acquired Velocette Venom is also a 500cc single so we'll have to have a little 'burn up' one day to see who's the fastest to 30mph.

Thanks Jeff, I always enjoy a ride in Cornwall, especially when the roads are quiet, and I'm one of the odd bods who likes this sort of video, seems there are more of us than you think 😁 I was going to ask how you captured the exhaust sound so well, then I read the description. I'm about to try recording the ambient sound with my ancient Tascam DR-2d and if it works I'll probably upgrade to a DR-05X or DR-07X. I'll check out the rest of the ride when I get a chance 👍 Cheers, Mick
