I was working on my (brand new) Himalayan, and randomly placed a 6" piece of blue painter's tape (you know, the stuff that peels off easy - without "damaging" the surface) on the lens of the left front turn signal for easy access to whatever I was doing. A few minutes later I grabbed one end of the tape and ripped it off. OMG, the turn signal lens came off with it! It shattered the plastic on the housing where the screws went in. Lololol. Unbelievable. Very cheaply made... With Superglue/baking soda and electrical tape I got it back together. A set of spares is a great idea, maybe there's an aftermarket set that's better made. BTW, I ordered some Himalayan accessories from India on Ebay - got them in 3 days! (CA)

Haha 😂! That’s amazing. Just two weeks ago I met a friend to ride and he pointed out one of my new lights were broken. Same side. No clue what happened but some JB Weld took care of it. Need to switch them eventually to flexible LED, but, that’ll be when glue doesn’t work…thanks!

No doubt about that! And the bent handlebars too. And…a dented tank that the fancy tank pads cover nicely after I pulled it out a bit…but that part of the fun. Thanks!

Hey Ron...thanks for the video. When I bought my Himalayan, both front turn signals were damaged. Ordered my replacements from India on Ebay and 2 weeks later the package arrived. Upon reviewing my order, I realized a mistake on my part. I had ordered a pair of rear turn signals instead of the front. 😬 Fortunately, I was able to make it work by swapping the left for right and vice versa. Everything works and very pleased with the end result. Now I'm contemplating ordering another set just for spares. Oh, and yes my replacements were rectangular and not round. Not sure if I like rectangular front and round rear signal lights...what do you think?

I’m usually pretty particular about stuff like that I admit. I prefer the te table and will probably do the same and order a spare set. With the Himalayan rack and saddlebags, I never really seen them at the same time. So, maybe that’s why it hasn’t gotten under my skin yet😂. I am thinking about upgrading to LED. The BMW R1200 + indicators fit, but the connector is for BMW. I actually hooked up a cheap pair and they worked. By then when I connected them I cut out the proprietary connector and spliced them directly. They fast flash which tells me the resistor for the LED was in the connector. I’m gonna have to play with it. Ultimately I want to draw less power for a USB charger add on. Thanks!

Always a garage favorite! I thought about that, but wanted to try some LED, but then I reckon a resistor is needed and it did not work with those I bought. So, back to OEM, OEM for everywhere but US market apparently. Thanks!

ALL U S Himmys have round flashers, square ones are Europe and India!

@@swcoloradoadventures Maybe U S only allows new bikes round flashers for some inane "safety law," just look at how California has DICTATED motor policy in the past affecting motor manufacturers WORLDWIDE! Perhaps a little research in the U S might provide an answer. Cheers DINO, MALTA, EU !
