That dirt riding you do is absolutely insane and a testament to how well built these bikes are. I just took my Classic out for a 475 mile spin yesterday. 16 hours. A few hours spent at 60-65 mph into a headwind up in the high desert and then across the San Joaquin valley. Most up in the mountains above the snow line and along the ridge tops and canyons. On the way home it was past a few big lakes and down Pacific Coast Highway. What a beautiful ride. And that damned little 20 hp bike pulled through all of it. Just amazing machines. Cheers Brother
i'm actually pretty impressed with your 475 mile run which is close on 800 klm. well done there and i agree-the classic is a pretty fine set of wheels indeed
That's a really tractable little engine. And it sounds sweet. Also, the 2nd "no subtitles"" showed that your mic set up is spot on. Can hear the bike, and your comments, equally. Loving your work Warro!!
I was riding Interceptor on gravel roads & went on track like that & it powered over it but got worried about dropping bike being road tyre's so stuck with gravel.Eventually I got sick of washing bike & thought it to nicer bike to be doing that. Wouldn't want to drop Interceptor out there.
well i must admit i wasn't expecting that and i'd say if i had ridden into that mess high on the hillside - the outcome i feel would have been not good....for me or the bike...lol but must admit i thought i was gone when the engine almost stalled from wheel slip. i thought for a second the bikes going down...lol no plans to go back either!
Nah, you did good. I'm glad someone is showing what these bikes can do on the dirt. My thinking is that if these bikes are built for Indian conditions then they should be good for us too. Hey, no need to re-show the vid without subtitles I reckon, just keep going. Or you could do a brief over-dub in the edit instead of the sub-titles.
yeah i actually bought one but not fitted yet. i will have to get into this. heres my latest clip on the 350's -ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k2HrGSgj5OM.html
A sump guard, bark-busters and cleated rubber would've been ideal but then, as you said, anyone else would be on a trail bike. On their home turf, RE's take this kind of abuse everyday, complete with a family of four, a dog, market produce and a sari guard - with absolutely NO maintenance !
I’m sure the ride was scenic, but I wouldn’t know. I as too fixated on (you) not going down in a heap! 😵💫 Gawd, mate, no coffee on that ride. Just maybe a stiff drink at the end.😉
must adnit it was a bit touchy at the near top of that hill. when i stopped the bike to decide on what i'll do -if you saw the depth of those ruts in the ground...totally bloody scary...lol good to get out of that run drama free! all the best!
Jeez, that got a bit bumpy in places! Good move doing that off-track diversion, Warro... I'd have made the same choice, too. I see that some other commenters have said to drop the sump guards onto the bikes, so I won't say it. 😁
i'd say it would not have ended well if i continued straight up that hill. even if i had off-road tyres i still would not have ridden straight through....lol just a very risky area to ride
My goodness Warro, it’s a road bike first, dirt bike 2nd😉 In your situation, it’s a dirt bike all the time😂😂😎 Please, please get a sump guard. Get 2. One for the Classic 350 & the Hunter🙏 A black one for the Hunter & Silver for the Classic 😉
yeah ive got the hunter's guard but so far have not fitted it. been busy trying to put together part 2 of my solo camp out. i think the bar risers helped me a bit on that hill and the hunter was a better choice compared to the extra weight of the classic 350. still think the classic 350 is the better bike...or is visually...lol im thinking i might try thatnew triumph 400 street when it arrives. i contacted triumph aust but at this stage no price but will advise me. they look pretty good too
G'day Warro, mate l think your nuts for taking that Royal Enfield up that track even the best and strongest built road bike is not ment for those road conditions, hope you check for cracks and loose bolts after the ride, sorry about sounding like your old man, but you can break yourself as well, cheers mate ride safe, Neil 🤠.
yeah it was more a case once in there it would be difficult to turn around and go back really...lol especially on that hillside.....not nice up there at all. plus i think this area mud wise is totally different in structure alone to the muddy stuff which bought the vstrom down roughly 50 klm away.
well i was packing it in the water on road section as i still recall my trip to the ground in mud on that suzuki vstrom. if i could have turned around on that hill i would have rode back out too. fnot possible and far too risky to do and i'd say the bike would have been on the ground for sure. anyway -3 days rain since then so those 4wd's will now give that place a bit of a workout
Warro, good track for the Honda 125 or Suzuki 250. Maybe more fun and perhaps a safer strategy. Glad to read you won’t return to that track; at least with a road bike. And yeah the lifting rig works well. I was thinking about that…. Do you have a way to anchor the lift unit when no tree or other solid object is in the vicinity? Love the channel, good stuff every time…
yeah no big plans to return there plus its been raining a few days straight so it would be extremely bad now. i had the lift kit with me as its nice and compact in its case. still now silly enough to go straight ahead on that hillclimb....that would be asking for trouble plus i could not see one area i could trust and take the risk to ride on. i was thinking a one foot steel peg in the ground and a "Y" type pole or branch of some sort in the ground if no trees about. only thinking loud there as i'm in no hurry to try it out...lol
@@rowland5442 well i'd just done the handlebar riser clip so i decided to ride on. this clip started about 10 minutes furter on .had limited battery power and it died just over the top of the hill so lucky to get this footage. i actually though i've lost that...f//k it...lol
yeah know what you mean. by rights i should be just riding the vstrom 250 sx around these back tracks and sort of run it in a bit more rather than just look at it...lol
no service in that area or not up the top side of track -not sure after i stopped on the hill. didn't see any-one during the 1.5 hours i was there either. i did the bar riser review further over and rode on into this. i've now gone back to doing some edit work on part 2 of my sol camp and cook. much more safer...lol
yeah i did have a himilayan 3 years back but i have that suzuki vstrom sx which i bought to do dirt runs on. this ride got a bit out of hand as after i did the bar riser clip i carried on the ride and got into this mess..lol
yeah it was one of those rides where once i committed i had not much choice but carry on. although if i could have turned around on that hill i would have reversed engine and retreated back. just too risky there but all good and back home. all the best!
I think bash plate if you can get one for Hunter being of different design floating motor. Also got a get those on/off road tyre's Warro they'll help out heaps.
I see videos are out now showing Triumph 400 riding on road & how it goes etc.Prety good I reckon & price in India was a smidge more than Classic 350.Harley Davidson x440 single air & oil cooled released their price a day or 2 before Triumph water cooled 400 & was a smidge more than 350classic might of been why Triumph priced similar. Doesn't mean It'll be priced same outside of India but I reckon it will be.9-10k hopefully.New water cooled 450 RE adv coming out soon too.
if it comes in at say $10k i plan to place a pre-order on a red unit as theres mentioning on triumph site delivery jan 024. so i'm in their newsletter and they will advise me price when available. sill looks a pretty good bike to me.
@@ridewithwarro Have you seen those videos of it running? It was going alright & video I watched HE was taking it easy. Road version is a looker I'll be keeping a eye 👁️ on it hopefully it not a vibrator & it looks quite premium I guess it'll have to be up to a certain standard to wear Triumph badge.R.E Classic 650 coming out & RE 450 Adv too.
