Baxter makes some of the best mild customs ever! I'm in Baja right now, but Baxter Days sounds tempting..... I wonder how many miles that would be from here to Marne..... 🤔
This is probably the first video on the where you’ve added a custom exhaust and upgraded the suspension. I’m waiting for someone to add a custom seat; a proper long single piece seat that can have two people sit.
Great looking bike. Due to my left knee being wrecked in an accident way back in 1978 I need a bike with forward controls. Always kept riding by building choppers and more recently a couple of Harley Sportsters. The Harley is now a getting bit heavy and uncomfortable for me soI had been thinking of buying a Super Meteor 650 because of the forward controls but much preferred the bobber look of the Shotgun. But now I see this I’m thinking this is it. What modifications are needed to get the super Meteor forwards to fit the Shotgun. Love the overall look of this bike. Any help much appreciated Cheers all the way from Ireland Paddy
Love that Super Meteor. Actually rode mine 640 miles yesterday...love it! Forward controls are an issue because the parts are hard to find. Baxter Cycle was able to do it by switching parts from a Shotgun & Super Meteor. RE needs to make a kit for this.
@@thefuzzybiker171 Cheers for your reply. Used Super Meteors are coming up for sale now at reasonable prices so I’ll probably go for one of those. You can get a nice set of exhausts for them and tidy up the back end with a tail tidy and smaller turn signals. Keep riding and clocking up the miles Thanks Paddy
I test drove The Super Meteor and The Shotgun and chose the shotgun because of its more sporty feel, coming mainly from the mid controls which have you leaning just a little over the bars - The pipes sound brilliant but think the forward controls take away what the shotgun is?
My thoughts are that the forward controls moved the center of weight, my legs and the controls, forward and in my opinion made the bike handle better. I actually tried to buy this bike a few days later but it had sold. That is how much I like the Shotgun and this forward control setup. PS I've called the Shotgun the best RE motorcycle made to date. It's a great motorcycle. Wahoo!
@@thefuzzybiker171 do you think Baxter Cycle might be able to put together a kit of some kind? Nobody has done that so far. That I found anyway. Maybe it would be worthwhile to do so. I look forward to seeing the SM with mid controls video. Thanks.
That is a hard question to answer. It would depend on how I was planning to use the bike, I guess. If only one bike...Shotgun. But...there seems to be no good reason to own only one motorcycle...Wahoo!
Hi, Nice modifications, although I personally prefer the original position of the footrests. Do you know how they raised the handlebars? I was told that handlebar risers are not yet available for the Shotgun.
