I received mine recently. Mine is without the bubble plate as well. There is micro bubble coming from the outlet as well but not as many as yours. I will return it back. I tried so many skimmer this just isn't worth . The quality is good and that's about it. I can't say much about the whole bubble king line up but as for the mini it's not worth it at all.
Dear LETS ROCK, do you have any videos of your skimmer working, I'm also interested in getting one the 160 mini but start to see that there are too many complains about and would like to see some more videos about that micro bubbles in another tank installations.
@@ricardopimenta2668 hello. I tried but it's kind hard to capture it on my phone. If you have any baffle in your sump the micro bubble isn't a problem. But most the skimmer I owned dose not have this issue at all. And the noise level is much higher than my maxspect skimmer(I'm really sensitive to noise) . I don't think it's worth to spend that much on this kind of skimmer.
I think you might have a defective unit...or they aren’t worth the price. BTW...I have the same issue you mentioned in your last video about the ph probe on the apex....mine says 7.8-7.9 all the time.
Thanks for the comment! I feel like it is a bad unit and wondering how long it will drag out before it is fixed. Not sure what the deal is with the PH probes. You would think after they are calibrated, they would be spot on for a while.
josh i got mine in march 2021 from brs and it was the old model . i send brs pictures and they told me that royal exclusive made a mistake and send them the old models, .the new model 160 mini bubble king that brs are showing on there web site are the new model 160 mini bubble king. the new model has a 40 watt pump and a new bubble plate with the tube on top as one peace. so i was able to send it back and get a refund. i guess the did not have the new model 160 mini yet? and i think its. not your water its the dezine of the old skimmer. thats why the new model has a better bubble plate. and that skimmer is not the smallest. the web site aquariam specailty they sell the double cone bubble king 150&130 skimmers. but if you have a peace of foam you can put it in the back of the skimmer so the micro bubbles dont go back in to your return pump. good luck.
