Hey, just subscribed to your channel. Yo, love the boombaps you make bro, great work overall. I think your teaching skills are excellent. I am starting out and was going to get the MPC one, but then saw the MPC studio and felt this is better for my pockets, plus learning the MPC software is another thing. I know you didn't ask,but i would advise you to get a MPK and the save up for the One. It's a different beast and the MPC DAW isn't that good to invest a lot of time in.

Hey Sal thank you for taking your time and checking out the channel I really appreciate you, yea I’ll be doing more videos with the studio mkii since I’ve been using it in my workflow. I haven’t used any other mpc so I can’t compare it but I really been enjoying this markiito the size and the convenience of having it has been an awesome workflow

Im having trouble with this. I try to load a sample on my mpc live 2 but nothing happens and its somehow going to the “assign sample” tab next to browse

That was the best Splice tutorial I have ever seen. And that beat was mean sounding, too. Quick question: Does Splice have different bass sounds for creating bass lines? Thank you for the amazing video. Blessings! P.S. Did you get a chance to see that MPC4000 - MPC One comparison?

Hey David thank you for this input, and yes there’s thousands of different bass sounds and melodies that you can use. Oh and yes I did listen to that comparison with the link you sent me on my other video they sound very similar as well where I found a huge difference was comparing the 60 versus Ableton push that Ricky Tinez did on his video, With the MPC 60 there is a huge difference

Hey Malo, does Splice connect well with the MPC Studio MK2? I just bought it and would like to know if it is easy for the device to link with your splice account for faster sample import? I know the MPC One has that feature where you can sign into your account on the device when connected to the internet and it allows you to see all samples from Splice folder. Is that the same concept for the Studio?

You could connect your mpc one to the internet with your PHONE for SPLICE - just get an adapter that has internet wire connection and hook it up to your phone and let the wifi do what it do and mpc one will pick it up

@@malobeats A USB port hub that has a port to support internet or ethernet cable and your phone hooked up to pick the wifi You might have to do a little bit configuration on your phone and on the MPC one BUT IT PICKS IT UP

Question on splice - can you download the samples to your computer? Or do they only get downloaded to that splice app? I know there are workarounds, but just wanted to see if that was an easy option.

Yes absolutely, it downloads to your computer on a sample pack folder and you can then grab that folder put it on an SD card or on an external hard drive and start saving your samples like that. I usually put them on an external hard drive and start collecting them there

I still got some credits built up from my free 3 months of Splice so I’ll probably go on a little downloading spree one of these nights. Man, your not the only one. I have been having the same issue unfortunately and I’ve heard from others the same thing, only some samples play hit not all of them :/ I really hope the can address this in an update soon

Another question. I'm having some "issues" with samples cutting other samples from the same program. If i do that polyphonic stuff it'll stop? It's for the MPC One and not the DaW! Thanks Malo. New apartment? Edit: and sorry about the spam,but yet another question. I'm getting them as I watch the video :D Are the samples like used a lot? As in,since it's a big service with a finite amount of samples,are the same ones used by a lot of people?

Yes if you want the notes to cut each other off and only play one at a time I would set it to monophonic but if you wanna play different pads to overlap each other I would set it to polyphonic In regards to sounds from Splice there is so many sounds in there when it comes down to drum samples I think it be nearly impossible to identify each sound so you’re going to be OK with that but melodic loops you would just have to chop them up and rearrange them yourself to come up with a unique melody in my opinion. And same studio apartment Just trying to film with a different angle so it might look a little different lol

Thank you for convincing me to get a splice account - so do I need to have my mpc1 connected to drag in the samples ?

Hey Abel, thank you for taking the time to check out the video and you can drag over any sample onto your session with a controller connected or without it’s just a very simple workflow with dragging your samples over to your session I do that on my Ableton sessions.

@@abelchristian951 Everything is already stemmed out so if you select a sample pack you’ll have everything divided and and separated with bass kick snares high hats.

Both machines are amazing but if I had to choose one I would definitely stick with my MPC one since it really resonates with the way I make music.

Hey brother, so I just picked up the zoom H6 recorder and it’s been awesome because I can connect the sound coming out of my computer and also my microphone in to the recorder and coming out of that recorder directly into the camera so everything is synced up by the time I import my footage.
