Oh, come on, the programmers do their part of hard work too! What makes this game still so enjoyable is that all those guys, programmers, graphic designers and musicians work together so good. I just wish those people that decide over the overall concept would come to mind some day.....
Booty bay is still my favourite town in all of WoW. It's the perfect mix of a practical location (for Vanilla - since it was one of two connections to Kalimdor for alliance) and a cozy atmosphere.
Sailing from Eastern Kingdom to Kalimdor got me wanting more. Love this tune. I've often sat on the ship between Menethil Harbor and Theramore just for this shit xD

subtector I've played the game plenty, from ~Dezember '04 till ~Oktober '05, had 2 chars on 60 und a few lower ones, raided all the raids up until the (pretty epic) release of UBRS, and then said goodbye to return to my life. Fun times. When I look at WoW streams nowadays, I hardly recognize it anymore.
r3nk0 It has changed a lot since your playtime. No wonder you do not recognize it anymore. I miss a lot of things from the old times and have a hard time playing under todays conditions, but I am glad I never gave up totally because that enables me to at least find my way around in todays world of warcraft.
Sometimes after long hours of grinding in STV I took a seat in the booty bay tavern and listened (and even danced in my room, headphones on) to this music. Always made me sad being lonely in my room and not in a real tavern drinking laughing and dancing with others.
Battlegrounds…..why have you stuck a theme so catchy in my brain. I’m sitting in class and all of the sudden you force me to hum this tune over and over again. I love it.
I have been looking for this song forever and I am pretty sure this was the song used in Shattrath's World's End Tavern before they changed the song and before that band played there. Thanks so much for uploading.
The game was so fun when I first started......Idk what happened? I remember I was lvling a gnome mage and it was so fun to do the simplest of things! I would learn a new spell and be excited to use it to see what it would do! Haha, and wheneever I would get into a new zone.... :) I loved it! Wish I could someone get that feeling again. Winter Time, bundled up with a blanket, my cup-o-noodle and my desktop in a comfy chair, lvlin with my friend when we were both noobs, lvl 10 haha! ^^ *Tears Up*
i luv this soundtrack i can remember the first time i heard it that was in ratshet in the barrens with my orc hunter :) the noob times were the best!!!!
I remember the first holiday I ever experience in WoW was pirate day. I gathered with my buddies in Booty bay, sat in the inn, drank till we threw up on each other and talked all night. Goooo pirates!

Ah Wow, the most addictive drug there is yet its so FUN. It enriches my very soul as i walk across Azeroth slaying the Alliance and the Scorge fighting for freedom, fighting for honor!!
oh gawd... the memories... be they good or bad, i spent alot of time playing wow and i do remember liking this music, all it needs is the tavern sounds of clashing glasses and conversation and i'll be having dejavu!
Ya I finally found it! The name of the album is "world of warcraft: taverns of azeroth (original soundtrack)", by David Arkenstone. I can only find it in iTune Store though. Good luck!
@Evinev ...the dwarves bring a lot of technology to the table, too. Though it doesn't matter much since both races are sadly ignored in that regard whilst the plot device of 'lolbomb' is used twice for instant Horde victories in Stonetalon and the Southern Barrens.
i remember the places i was in ratchet when i was lvl 21 on my dwarf hunter and there was a dock so i took the boat to booty bay and there was a war going on and humans and orcs were all over the place fighting July or August last year 2010 :)
lol i remember going to an island from the desert in the area i was at this dock i for got the name and i took a trip to this island and there was a huge fricken war going on between horde and humans and since PVP was on for me i was hiding in the tavern :D and i was only lvl 21

great song.The best song the game has along side the nelf tavern.I'm fascinated as to how Blizzard created quite a history in a decade and half of Wracraft withe this Azeroth world,i spend alot of time reading in wowiki about the hole story of wow
if only life was like wow..... sometimes in the summer, playin wow is the only thing to do, and it just amkes me feel so happeh when i walk into the booty bay tavern....
