RTX 3080 Zotac AMP Holo Fan Noise Level Analysis and My Thoughts on the Card

@@pallebosken8301 Firestorm V3.0.0.019E Released Changelog: added support for 3070 AMP Holo RGB Lighting function improved the 3080 AMP Holo RGB Lighting (Rainbow effect, for example) Note: if applicable, your RTX 3080 AMP Holo will require a firmware update. A notification will ask the user to update the firmware version once Firestorm launches. If your 3080 AMP Holo is not having any RGB issues, then you can disregard the firmware notification and continue using the software.

@@zhenfeng1991 thanks for replying, im using the same card as yours but my case is nzxt h510 elite , uv 900mv 1995mhz fan 78% load temp when playing bf5 around 75 to 76 degrees. I guess changing my case will give me a better temperature .

I set mine 975 mv at 1965 mHz, it runs 72 degC with 70 - 80 % fan speed in ambient room temps 23 degC. My case is phanteks evolv x. I tried to go lower with the undervolting but in some games the card became unstable and crashed. It's fine but not good, I'd rather choose Asus Tuf if the price was reasonable in my area. This one came near MSRP so I bought it.

@@jensenphua4685 I had an NZXT H500 and my cpu was 90c with the 3070. The Elite is atrocious for airflow. Had to change to a Phanteks P500a and my temps have dropped right off. Atleast 15c cooler because of the 3 140mm fans at the front. And because the fans aren't straining like in the H500 it is quieter. I also undervolt my card with no issues.

I had a same card before, u got 2 choices, 1) lower power limit to 60% 2) sell it or trade it to 4070 super Edit: never go zotac anymore

I thought something was wrong when I first booted up a game on all ultra settings lol Im currently trying to tweak all my fans to get the gpu to run between 40 - 65 %ish

@@jmeijer6995 It sounds like a jet engine at full speed, but now I turn the power limit to 60%, only sacrificing 10-20 fps and now it's running smooth and quiet (acceptable noise).

So what is your opinion of it? Is it too loud?

@@malisa71 it was unfortunately some shitty scam that didn’t work out for them. Got my money back and just waited for awhile. I’ve since gotten a 3070 ti and it’s great for high setting 1440p

you forgot that 3070TI is almost 3x more powerful then 1070. No wonder it is getting more hot in the same case. Most likely the case needs to be changed.

No it won't. 100% fan speed in this card is insanely loud and you would hear it through any headphones except maybe noice cancelling ones.

I have an amp holo 3080ti and the fan noise is very very loud. Feels like it might take off @100% speed. And i repasted the thermal paste with a good one and good thermalright thermal pads. Still the gpu temps go to 80°c even when fans are at 100% speed.My case has very good airflow also with 3 intake and 3 exhaust fans. Can anyone help what to do. The fan noise is really irritating.😢😢
