Btw yall the reason the 4070 super is getting faster is nvidias drivers are actually raising fps in games now unlike past. Even the latest .95 version adds another 2fps in some games. Its great to see tbh. Since launch thr 4070super has gaing an extra 10 to 15% performance boost depending on the game.
@@torpediq61 how? you not payed attention to the last 3 generations? gtx 1080ti = 2070 super rtx 2080ti = rtx 3070 3090 ti = 4070 super what you think is going to happen with the 4090 and 5070?
@@zicksee0 you still going on about the prices lol thats been the problem since rtx 3000 release over 4 years ago... and they already lower than 3000 series , with those it reached a point where the 3070 was 1500$ ... 4070 is like 550 now? and i dont care about the vram i dont game on 4k right now the 4070 with 550 has about the same price as the 2070 had on release with 530 , 1070 was 400 at release so 70 series cards are doing good with pricing at the moment
@@zicksee0dlss3 in this case is frame generation. Not upscaling like dlss2. If it was set to quality with frame gen the middle one would be over 60fps
85% of a 3090Ti performance for a fraction of the price and wattage. Thing is, those 12GB might be barely cutting it @4K in today's games, but a year from now you'll be locked out of 4K unless you wanna compromise graphics settings. Even 1440p with DLSS3 will be difficult a year from now if you want to max out settings in AAA games , thanks to DLSS3 being VRAM hungry
Developers focus on consoles and their characteristics, and consoles have 12GB of video memory available. This generation of consoles has 16GB of memory, but only of which 12 are for video memory. The next generation of games will be released after 2027 and the consoles will already have 2 times more memory, so most likely after 4-5 years everyone who does not have 24GB will have to change the video card. But now the focus will be 12 GB
@@ВладКузнецов-е2ю consoles have 12 gb of TOTAL memory available for games, which is VRAM + RAM. It's an unified system. Both the GPU and CPU share from the same pool, so a file is not duplicated multiple times. Still, consoles usually use around 8-10gb of VRAM for games (Series X has 10 gigs of video memory). 12 gb of VRAM should be more than fine for this console generation.
@@midnightmiragebeats xbox has 10gb for vram, ps5 has unified system memory. 12gb are more than enough for 1440p, and will be for a while. By the time 12 and 16gb are fully utilized on average, this gpus are going to be facing the same situation as the RX 580 8gb did.
There is nothing to wait for. DLSS3 as in "Framegeneration" not upscaling. The purpose of this test, is to show the performance leap you can get on the 4000 series with no upscaling being used. The 3090 ti does not have access to Framegenertion from Nvidia :) 3090ti sucks lol.
@@TheRandomDude-qy1ev Well, unless you install the countless FSR 3.0 mods available for a lot of these titles that lets you basically enable Frame-generation on 20 series and 30 series cards, also your argument about the purpose of the test is to show what you can get without upscaling is sorta out the window when you also include what performance you get with DLSS on, all I am saying is that if you're gonna make a comparison, you also include a comparison of at least how the card performs with DLSS 2 to make a better judgement
@@Stevick01 It's a different test then. Why people do this is beyond me. Are you that desperate? This test is exactly what it says. DLSS3 (Frame generation) that the shity 3090 ti doesn't support, against what the 3090ti does support. That's it, that's the test. Native support is being tested here. Native. This is not a test video of mods that sometimes work well, and sometimes do not. This is not a test video of a desperate plea. This video is what it is. Anything else other than this is a different video, a different test. that's it. The 3090 ti in terms of native support, losses. It losses. it lost.
@@TheRandomDude-qy1evThe shitty hahAhaha you are that mad? The test SUCKS. You have to enable dlss on both cards and see how the CHAD 3090 SMOKES the shitty overpriced 4070s😂 You missed the entire point. The 3090 HAS DLSS which was not used in the test, get your eyes checked please, before trying beign edgy with your shitty comments
@@TheRandomDude-qy1evuntil you play a game with frame generation where the base frames are in the 40’s like in this video. A console will feel better in that scenario. The 3090 will still be superior with a keyboard and mouse in latency since it puts out more frames.
3090 Ti pros: -24 GB of VRAM instead of 12 GB -1008 GB/sec of VRAM bandwidth instead of 504 GB/sec so exactly double (384 bits bus vs 192 bits) 4070 Super pros: - Supports DLSS 3 Frame Generation - Newer 40 series NVENC encoder -Supports AV1 encode and decode - Consumes less power Here in Canada, both are roughly the same price on the used market. I would pick the 3090 Ti because of the extra VRAM and much higher bandwidth as the higher power consumption can be massively lowered by undervolting without losing any performance.
Could you do a video on how the 12gen suite of CPUs 12100, 12400, and 12600 are doing in todays popular and intensive games? a comparison between all 3.
Maybe because it wouldn't get the same picture quality as DLSS Frame Generation. Then somebody else would say "why you didn't set FSR 3 for both cards? I bet that... I bet this..."
@@anthonyc2159 it's pretty minor difference but AMDs frame generation is a bit worse Obviously you won't notice it normally but people could complain about that too
@@anthonyc2159 Yeah I did say you wont notice it but if youd record it and slow down the footage you could see there is a difference thats all Im saying
what's more impressive is how well the 4070 super overclocks. I have teh aorus master, the best on eyou can get. So i get a higher power draw than all other ones. I actually beat the 3090ti in most titles :)
Well, its a meme for its price. It was sold for 1999$ giving you 5-7% boost compare to original 3090. Which is not much. I made a mistake with this card

Tbf, as games evolve, stronger hardware will be needed to maintain a smooth stable 4K 60FPS. Remember that the 3090 and 2080 Ti were once considered 4K cards...
DLSS framegen is garbade at 4K. It only increase performance by 20-30% its not worth it at all. Its better to use DLSS Quality instead for similar performance gain and no latency penalty.
@@nossy232323 first off, roughly half of them show such trend. 2ndly, my point is that there's a small FPS difference for the extra VRAM that the 3090 Ti possesses 3rdly, 4070S's a mid-range GPU, not a high end, like the 3090 Ti, so it's not meant to be at 4K. These current games just show it can hold its own at 4K with near indistinguishable of a playing experience. I don't think "Not really" is quite correct 4thly, only three of those games - CP 2077, Hogwarts & Avatar were actually shown to utilise above 12GB, with the latter being the only one possessing true significance to that fact, to *still* give only an extra 7 FPS
