@@renelackner3081 Undervolting can increase performance because the GPU then no longer goes into thermal throttling or you can achieve a higher clock speed with the same power limit. It all depends on the card and how you want to optimize.

@@dragani2330 believe me I know how undervolting and overclocking works. Been doing it for ~10 years now. No matter how hard you try, there is no way around performance loss when undervolting your GPU if you want to keep the system stable. The 70 Ti Super is not much ahead of the regular 70 Ti and if you cut its performance even just by 5-10% you're already in that lower tier 70 Ti territory (same performance and power draw) only advantage the undervolted 70 Ti super has over his smaller counterpart is the bus width, which is great if you game at 4k or are editing multicam videos.

Lets be real. 7900 XT was never a good deal with all these lacking features at least in Europe where they cost the same and you don't buy a GPU just to play Call of Duty. I would just buy the 4070 TI Super at this point then i have the 2 encoders and all the features I would miss out otherwise for the price of 10 FPS, lol. AMD has to step up their game because they are getting destroyed by the worse refresh known to mankind.@@sdrubaa

U still have FG left on the options OFF. U can use FG or in Hogwarts no DLSS was used, with DLSS I get close to 57 fps aversge with DLSS ultra settinggs ans RT on on my regular 4070 Ti at 4K

Today I bought a new 4070ti super msi ventus 3x for $900. Not a bad replacement for my 4070ti (paying an additional $140) after selling the previous one. There are fewer friezes at Hogwarts due to lack of memory (since it began to eat under 13GB and there is a reserve of 3 GB (apparently this is the problem with friezes)

Not really, 4070tiS is a great entry-point 4K card and perfect for ultra-wide. If you play triple A games you'll have to play with RT off with any AMD gpu.

Yeah, unfortunately the 4090 is the first ever true-blue "Native 4K 60FPS + RT & All Max Settings" GPU to exist. All others require upscaling, or downgrading of settings and such, whereas the 4090 can reach that for *almost* every game. The 5090 will eventually likely make even the 4090 look small. And the 6000 series will hopefully be strong enough that even the 6060's will be able to be proper 4K cards.

It's Gigabyte. Many people are saying to stay away from both their power supplies and GPUs right now. I'm still using a 3080 and I've never had a system reset due to low memory, and mine is only 10gb, so it's probably not just a memory issue, but that it's Gigabyte. They've been good historically, but over the last year or two their quality control has been really bad.

This is perplexing. Most reviewers have shown the difference to be between 10-30 fps in games between 4070 TI s and 4080. Moreover, your 4080's fps seems to be lower for games like rdr2 and cyberpunk. I have a 4080 I can tell you the readings seem a little off.

It's only handicapped for those who don't overclock. It has the same base as a 4080 meaning you can easily run it at 320W without ever going into 70°C. The extra VRAM of the 7900XT is pointless, it's not like it can run RT to ever even come close to 16 lmfaooo

A pretty close comparison. So close in fact its barely noticeable. You would be fine buying either of these cards. The only thing I noticed is that the 4070ti super was drawing more power. That might be a deciding factor. Well that and if you can get a good price on the 4070ti super then the higher power draw might not even be an issue. I myself have a 4080 but I got mine before the 4070ti super was available. I'm still happy with my 4080.

Сравните их по производительности, думаю прирост будет ощутимый если вы используете монитор от 2к и выше, + в том что разница в видеопамяти в два раза. Конечно если вас устраивает ФПС в тех играх что вы играете, то не стоит заморачиваться.

Нет, нецелесообразно. Подождите новое поколение, в сентябре или октябре будут новые карты. В целом неудачное поколение, даже 4090 слабая. Летом продам свою 4090, пока она не подешевела, добавлю и возьму 5090. А может и не возьму, игр особо и нет.

Why? Having the same die doesn't mean the same performance? Most of the time, it's within 10% of the 4080 which is exactly where we expected to see it.

Yes,but the 4080 super will cost the same as the 4080. That makes the 4070ti super( aftermarket cards are almost $900) a bad buy because the 4080 super will be 7 percent faster making the gap bigger. The regular 4080 is being discontinued and replaced by the 4080 Super for 999 bucks. The current 4080s on the market are basically just leftovers now. Forget about them.

DLSS and frame generation should be used with lower end GPU’s because the system can’t handle the requirements of the game. At the level of a 4070 super and higher there shouldn’t be a reason to be generating frames that the gpu can’t do natively.

@@drunkhusband6257I brought this up in a separate thread. If a person is playing playing triple a’s at the highest settings and 4K with rt then they’ve likely bought a 4090. Everyone I know who’s doing this has. Otherwise they’re lowering some of the settings without giving up much. They may be running dlss but my point was that in testing it’s not great to be using dlss. Test in native if only testing so few.

The 7900xt is only faster if you dont use RT. If you do enable RT and frame gen, the 4070TiS takes a huge lead. Going AMD vs Nvidia really just depends on what settings you want to enable.

Polite suggestion: please start testing games with frame generation too when using 40 series with games that support it. Someone buying a 40 series is going to use it. For example, testing DLSS quality + frame generation with RT on in Cyberpunk/Witcher. This isn’t a dig at you, but it seems like every single channel just flat out refuses to turn frame generation on and it’s bizzare to me. It’s a great technology for single player games and a selling point of the cards.

If you’re the kind of person who needs to play your games at the highest graphics settings and resolution then you’re not going to be settling for a 4070 or a 4080 series gpu. You’re going straight for the 4090 amiright. For the rest of us who can compromise on our settings a full die 4080 FE even at $1200 is going to be a beast of a gpu when you pair it with a good cpu like a 7800x3d, fast dual channel ram, liquid cooled system with good airflow to keep internal temps stable, and an M.2. At 200 cheaper with the same full die the upcoming 4080 super would make more sense than anything in the 4070 super series just released. Should give you at least 2 years of triple a gameplay.
