@@ColdFear6666 I get 250-300fps in SW Jedi Survivor without RT (1440p, DLSSQuality + DLSS FG + max "Epic" settings). Game is 100% smooth with these settings on my RX4080S. There's a bit of a frametime problem with RT, though, because camera panning isn't 100% smooth, but at over 100fps and FG on top of that, uneven frametime is almost unnoticeable to me, therefore I play with RT and the game is still joy to play. You are crazy to suggest the PS4 runs this game better, becasue graphics look like crap compared to PC version and 30fps has MUCH more noticeable motion judder than RT motion judder at over 100fps.
Both God Of War 1 and Ragnarok run very well on the 4080S, even at 4K native, but I still consider these games unoptimised because when the PS4 ports were optimised, even my old 1080ti could run them at 4K 60fps. The minimum requirements list a Radeon R9 290X, which is a 3x faster GPU compared to the PS4 GPU and it can barely run this game at 720p 30fps on low settings.
People coming here in comment section and arguing 4080 super vs 7900xtx. To all those people, take my advice. You already bought a card whichever be it, u must have done some sort of research before the purchase. So be happy with it. Both are good.
@@Gamer-vs3xlyou are wrong! rx 7900 xtx is sometimes faster in UE5 ray traced games than rtx 4080 but nvidia sponsored titles with rt will run better on nvidia hardware
@@thedudekahuna im not fanboy i had both nvidia and amd GPUs my point was that it's not that simple that "amd gpus suck in rt". in certain games amd gpus do well with rt on but i know that rtx 4080 has overall better rt performance and if that's what you mostly care about it's way better option
@anonymous16472 you said the "xtx is sometimes faster in rt" which is a false statement. In hardware ray tracing their is no way the xtx can be faster than the 4080. It's impossible. Either correct your statement or admit your lie.
Crazy how much more wattage the 7900xtx was using. I think the shimmering water is like some sort of active mesh interacting with the lighting weird. As you move the reflection tries to update to often or something maybe?
To BE fair, the 7900xtx was an OC Version, the original only use 347W. And you can Lock IT to 314 or umderclock. You loses some FPS nonetheless. And you can also do IT to the 4080
Great video! I'm looking forward to seeing the 4070 super benchmark as I'm currently saving up for a new PC that has a 4070s and a 7800X3D. My current PC has a Ryzen 5 3350G and Vega 11 graphics. 😭
DLSSFG is of higher quality than FSR FG, you can use it at 40 fps instead of 60 fps input, but it's also much more expensive. At above 60 fps input, you really can't tell much of a difference in quality, but FSR is cheaper which makes it better imo. I'm curious as to why they don't adjust the algorithm to be simpler and cheaper as input framerate gets higher to solve this issue.
The heaviest spot to run in this game yet is when traveling between realms, that purple tree kicks GPUs ass.... Most intensive spot so far in my experience... On the FG matter, I was absolutely stoked when AMD gave us FSR FG and also the ability to decouple it from FSR to use with DLSS. I have OC RTX 3090, which is very capable GPU, but no frame generation support by Nvidia made me furious... So big thank you AMD. Also FSR FG works better apparently.
The latest patch introduced a performance bug on 40 series cards that causes very bad framepacing. It is solved by removing the DLSS framegen file, but then you can't use DLSS framegen.
I believe the reason FSR runs slightly better is caused by Nvidia's FG runs off the tensor cores (same/similar fashion as to raytracing) rather than software/driver based as to FSR. That's also the reason FSR FG works on any card rather than being exclusive to certain cards (probably with some GPU bios tweaking trickery it could likely be possible to run DLSS FG on older tensor cards such as 30s & maybe even 20s series). It is sad though that "Frame Generation" is a big selling point for 40s series cards even though its possible on older cards (I upgraded from a "1080 Ti" to a "4070 Super" here in August btw).
As a 3080 user, I just use a mod to turn on AMD frame gen with DLSS upscaling. Pretty decent result overall. Works for most games. Never really felt that I was missing out much by not having the DLSS frame gen.
@@rahulahl Yeah, LukeFZ's Uniscaler I figured? I used that for quite a few months too until I got around to upgrading, in my case I used FSR FG with XeSS 1.3 upscaler. The first version of FSR 3.1 was neat too, worked surprisingly well especially for games such as Remnant 2 (before the official implementation), Cyberpunk and Witcher 3. Liked you could dial in the ratio over the locked preset values too.
wish 4080 super was like 5 to 600 dollers lol A resolution missing in your vidoes wormz is ultra wide, some of us would love to see those resolution as well
Your videos are great as always.. I've more concerned about your health compare to this video coz now in this video we can clearly see the blackhead/out right below your eyes.. pls I would highly recommend you to complete you night sleep regularly like time to time like for 8-10 hrs coz it's hard to see you like this.. coz your health is my main priority than this benchmarks videos..
Hey Kryzzp , I think the vannahiem realm would be most intensive area in this game since it has a lot of vegetation and greenery , you will reach there as you progress through the game
I'm playing this game with 4k native with this GPU and i have 60 fps all of the time and it's plenty enough for me, i had a gtx 750 ti back then and i played at 25 fps, so 60 is absolutely fine for me.
This gpu scored slightly higher fps than your 7900xtx video and ofcourse it is better in every other factor like power consumption , technologies such as dlss and RT! For me 4080 super is a better card overall than 7900xtx even tho they are very close in raster perf. Also you can try different versions of dlss using dlss swapper! You can use it safely in singleplayer titles
One is cheaper and offers a slightly better performance with higher V RAM. The other offers lower power consumption with "slightly better" AI capabilities. Take what suits you best, but it in realty doesn't matter because their both are excellent
Thanks for the benchmark bro.. But correct me if I’m wrong you tested 8k resolution I don’t think they make 8k resolution monitors so do you see the difference between 4k and 8k on a 4k monitor ?
New update made it better in realm bewteen realm and sind house. B4 used drop like 58 fps but 80s low 100 now dlaa. I turned dlss quality and frame gen on wanted none but on ultrawide so alil more graphic intensive but ultra settings and getting like 160-180 fps at times is crazy and with frame gen feels like 300 lol. this on ultrawide oled is amazing. Jus played 2018 again and finished 2 days b4 this so cool play em back to back
Well for me idc about power usage if fsr became as good as dlss i don't think I'd ever choose nvidia then coz amd will provide more vram and better rastwr overall with cheaper price tag.... Ray tracing alone won't sell over more vram and raster
Brooooo. I just watched the 1660ti video u uploaded it like 4 to 5 hours ago. And. Now. Another 1 ???? Also the game just came out recently how did u record them this. Fast. 💀💀💀. If this isn't pure dedication. Then idk what is. Gg brotha. Ur. Great. Also. Can our legend of a card. Play this game. ? 580 gb
Hello all, I have this question, because I am putting together a computer for myself, part of this computer, and I wanted to ask if these parts will be good overall for gaming, because they are already with me, but a lot of people tell me in general that good components I took for myself for years in total. I have the 7900xtx magnetic air and i was wondering if I should get the 4080 Super Buy seems like 917$ for the 7900xtx and the 4080 S at 1099. Just thinking is it worth that extra money your opinion?
It sucks this can't really be run on 4 gb gpus with this optimization without issues. The 1650 is the third most popular gpu on steam and many people won't be able to play this without a mod that still has a lot of performance issues. It even seems like my 4070 super won't survive FG. I like having the best technology without being able to use it.
Is FPS a direct consequence of frametime? Sorry, still don't quite understand frametime, so someone please educate me. Why does frametime matter (other than investigating possible bottleneck issues) when all you have to do is monitor your FPS for any severe frame drops or bad 1% lows?
Frametime dynamically shows the time interval between the rendering of the frames produced by the hardware, it indicates how consistent the frames are. With uniform consistency, frametime would be more with lesser amount of frames. It does matter though, maybe less for the casuals to be honest. Have an example for how it works, The amount of the fps updates every second, unless decimals are shown too. In a single second, your pc could render 100frames in an interval of 200ms, have a stutter lasting 500ms, and then the pc renders another 150 frames for the remaining 300ms in the second. If this uniformly continues, you'd get 250fps for the amount of frames but it wouldn't feel very smooth at all. I'm quite sleepy right now so i couldn't make my mind work hard enough to frame a better explanation, reply with a question if you are unsure of an aspect of it.
Yea this one is truly designed around using a controller, i played the "first" one with M+K but this seems to be more stubborn, a few key options unavailable to change to desired keys etc, I have admitted defeat and playing this one on a PAD ! 😂 Brilliant game though ❤
