Looking at the steam hardware survey to get a quick snapshot of the PC gamer landscape one thing is overwhelmingly clear…
There is a certain type of card which absolutely dominates the chart. Nvidia leads the way and it’s cards at the lower end of the stack which makes up around 40% of the user base falling into the lower end nvidia category.
Even cards which were not the best value - i’m looking at you 50 series cards - are undeniably hugely popular with the likes of the 1050ti, the 1050 and the GTX 1650 taking up over 15% of the PC user base alone…
One thing that is absent from this ampere RTX 3000 generation is a desktop “50” class card.
That however does not mean that Nvidia doesn’t have a PCIE powered 70W card which could cut the mustard at the low end of the market. Let me introduce you to this. The RTX A2000 - the real RTX 3050Ti that Nvidia wont give you.. But you should really want..
