Joan is unusual nowadays in that she has a sense of humour and can laugh at herself. I don’t always agree with her, but she is intelligent and straightforward. Stars (and the rest) are so busy exclaiming their victim status now alongside maintaining their ‘brand’ that they are both dull and deluded at the same time!
That beautiful artichoke gave me a strong craving. They've gotten so expensive and difficult to find in the past few years. Thank God, I still have eggplant. 🌲🎁

You're supposed to take the alcochofa leaves off and just eat the hearts really. Artichoke leaves are vile amd leathery. If you chewed them, they would all still be left in your dry mouth like a raw bamboo shoot 2 weeks later. The way Joan is sucking on the end is the only way you can eat a boiled or steamed alcachofa leaf amd it is dipped in bechamel, hollandaise or tartare sauce depending on whether you're having them with white meat, red meat or seafood. They would be impossible to dip in butter alone.
Joan is so real and such a witty class act. Ruby is a talented comedy writer, but I find her live-interview style very grating and almost snide. Still, the interaction between these two (especially Joan's very playful tolerance of batshit-crazy Ruby) is quite entertaining;)
Joan the international icon. Ruby is like a child with ADHD pestering for attention. She is indeed awful. I cannot understand why Joan would choose to do the interview. As wonderfully wise, witty, beautiful and amazing she is.
Interesting throw-back..N American tv made Collins out to be an uber bitch, yet this brit production shows her pleasantly human side. Furthermore, Ruby's tact in youtube clips like this is what kindles my interest in famous people, no matter its only being mild.
Joan is brilliant. As are artichokes. Cut off tough outer leaves then steam them for 20-30 mins then pick leaves off 1 by 1 dip thick part into butter then squeeze out soft fleshy part between your teeth and enjoy a very unusual but fantastic food. When all leaves eaten remove all furry flower stems or whatever they are called and eat the flowers heart. Truly wonderful with some French bread and white wine!!
Was gonna have a go at u re the hand comment but..... My fantasies of being ravished by an elderly ms Collins just turned into a bit of a nightmare. To be intimate with the still very beautiful lady and that hand to go for my pants.... Still - other than that hand she's still perfect.
