Ray Lewis's dad took off, years later a coach showed Ray a book of athletic records at his high school that was full of his dad's name. Ray came back the next day and said I want to erase that man's name, the rest is history
If you think Randy Moss was a show pony, then you HAVE to do Terrell Owens mic'd up! He just got put into the Hall of Fame along with Ray Lewis, Brian Urlacher, Randy Moss, and Brian Dawkins from the modern era.
Couple things: -Ray Lewis is largely regarded as the best middle linebacker in football history. - He's also regarded as one of the most passionate football players of all time. - Lastly, he's largely regarded as one of the hardest hitters and best tacklers of all time.
Damn that 2001 Ravens defense was stacked. Ray Lewis, Rod Woodson, Chris McAlister, Mike McCrary, Tony Siragusa, Jamie Sharper, Peter Boulware, Duane Starks, Sam Adams, and I'm still missing some lol
chris melendez Reed was drafted in 2002. I wish he was on that earlier team so he could have had two Super Bowls, but it made the one he got later in his career because he wanted it so badly and it took 10 years of HOF play until he got his opportunity. It’s one thing to finally get an opportunity at getting that ring. Winning it, wooh, you can tell how much Reed loves having one the way he wears it, shows it off, and talks about it. It was also nice to see Ray & Ed get one together to show for their time together. Most real Ravens fans will tell you the team from the year before was better but it wasn’t meant to be as Lee Evans dropped the game winner on a perfect pass from Flacco and Cundiff missed the chip in that would of taken the game to overtime against the Patriots in the AFC championship. They would have beaten the Giants in my mind. Ravens were blessed to get another chance the next year with a worse overall team but this time actually winning it all.
I love your passion and how into these videos u are, im a lifetime ravens fan from Baltimore so I grew up on ray Lewis, greatest MLB of All time, watch his coaching tree, every coach from DCs to linebackers coaches that coached him became head coaches.. he such a inspiration
In the middle of a bad game lol Ray: MAN I know everything's going the way it's going, but I have great news for ya listen to the great news. I just save a bunch of money on my car insurance LOL.
What I like about your channel is that even though you didn’t grow up watching football like us Americans and you’re pretty new to it, you seem to really get it
Darren bennet ,an ex aussie rules footie star who signed on with my chargers and became one of the greatest punters ever and best of his era.his A.R.F tequniques changes nfl punting forever.now even yank punters used his a.r.f punt that makes the ball die where it lands and not roll, its used inside the 15yard line
3:01 Reidel Anthony, 2nd youngest ever player with a receiving TD at 20, but he was considered a draft bust (16th pick in 1997), only played for 5 seasons.
The thing about Ray was his teammates always gave everything they had. He would hold them accountable because you really didn't want that guy disappointed/angry with you
really enjoy the channel bro - it's cool for us long time football fans to see old shit through new eyes. My team has sucked for years (Miami Dolphins), so unless you want to get into coaches like the legend Don Shula, I got no suggestions other than keep it up. lol. And ffs, go to a tryout already.
Around 9 minutes is all from Hard Knocks, as well few of these clips. The new season just had its first of 4 episodes on HBO but I think the whole things available on RU-vid. Inside look at training camp of the Cleveland Browns, who went 0-16 last year and made some high profile acquisitions this off season. Would love to see a reaction of the show ! I know you'd love it, see what it's truelly like to receive an NFL paycheck and know what it's like to be a true pro
You gotta check out Brian Urlacher. He just entered the Hall of Fame with Ray Lewis & played the same position, Middle Linebacker. He wasn't as vocal as Ray Lewis but is an athletic freak.
I grew up with Randy Moss, when we were kids he was a showboat then and I told him that his mouth wouldn't get him anywhere. Looks like I was WRONG. You just have to know Randy because he's a great guy who can back up his mouth. He's from a small town in West Virginia called Rand where my father was a minister there. Love the video and new subscriber
P.s mate, look up darren bennet,he played for my chargers for like 15 years and changed punters for ever with his introduction of the aussie rules football style drop kick.is super effective inside the 20 yard line cuz the ball when punted right wont bounce forward,it basically dies where it lands.he holds clinics in austraillia every year,u should check it out.he was a hell of a good punter and he single handedly changed the game as he was the first aussie to make it big and dude could tackle.he was just an avg bloke.he visited me in hospital,my sister knew him from work so he spent 2 hrs just talking bout aussie rules footie, the nfl, whats harder,he felt the nfl needed pads cuz some teams used to play on astro turf and that was basically just painted green concrete.........please bro look up darren bennet, one of the greatest who has shoes in the hall of fame, and also his former teamate LT,LADANIAN TOMLINSON THE GREATEST RB OF OUR TIME WHO SCORED 31 TDS IN A SEASON AND BROKE THE RECORD WITH 3 GAMES STILL TO GO........THANKS FOR YOUR CHANNEL
I remember the game Ray Lewis had a audible battle against Peyton Manning (probably the greatest QB at adjustments at the line). Manning would change the play and Ray would know the call and change the defense accordingly.. Shit was a real chess match and the moment I knew he was more than just a great athlete but his IQ was through the roof as well.. He's the GOAT
You should react to Jason Witten, he was a tight end who played for the Dallas Cowboys. He just retired a couple months ago, and he's a hall of fame player for sure. He's one of many legendary players for the Cowboys, I highly recommend looking him up.
Just a fun fact- not sure you knew. Mike is a middle linebacker. Only 2 players on the field have speakers in their helmets- the middle linebacker and the QB. Cordinators call in the plays and can actually talk into their ear up until a certain time on the play clock, shuts off. You will hear the middle linebacker called the Mike for that reason- QB of the defense
Ray Ray wasn't the biggest guy out there but he had the biggest heart for the game and for his team.. I loved watching him. And to me all the haters.. that still brought up the past .. were just jealous they didn't have him on their team. Let it go and give this man the credit he is due.. one of the best Linebackers of all times.
The reason why he does that dance is because when he moves to the left he is praying to the father, then to the right is to the son, and went back in the middle for the Holy Spirit
James I am a big fan! You should do some college football too!!! Really great performances by teams and individual players. I would recommend looking up the ESPN 30 for 30 titled “The U” about the University of Miami in their prime 5 championships in few years. A lot of the players you have highlighted are a part of this documentary. It’s the most watched ESPN 30 for 30. Reggie Bush USC highlights Look up the Tua Alabama game too!!!
Your enthusiasm for our beloved game is very respectable....i enjoy your videos very much. Perhaps you should look into legends of the game. I think you would like players like Dick Butkis, "NIGHT TRAIN" LANE, OR of coarse Jim Brown...
You liked the part where he was wooing in front of the offensive line. You should watch John Randle. One of the best trash talkers ever and wore face paint every game.
Love your videos. Please take a look at former Seattle Seahawk Steve Largent. He is in top 10 hands of all time for wide receivers(pre glove era). His highlight videos are great but his all time personal favorite play was a tackle. Look at Football Feud: Steve Largent vs. Mike Harden
Hershel Walker , Steve Young , Earl Campbell , Eric Dickerson , Darren Sproles , Ricky Watters , John Elway , Mike Ditka and John Mackey ! Please check these explosive and fantastic athletes .
Alright you reacted to ray Lewis, now you NEED to react to Brian Dawkins. Both are very inspirational players and HARD hitters. Both just got into the hall of fame this year
The adage "it's better to be respected than liked" is hardly new, and certainly didn't originate with Ray Lewis. Perhaps the most famous work that Ray's phrase parrots is "The Prince" by Niccolò Machiavelli, but you could certainly find similar sentiments in Sun Tzu and many more works.
Mel Blount . He didn’t talk a lot but he hit a lot of people and the rules of pass defense were changed because of him in the 1970s . Dick “ Nighttrain “ Lane did the same thing in the 1950s .
I know I've heard Peyton Manning say he hated to go up against Ray and pretty sure Tom Brady said the same.. Ray was a force to be reckoned with on the field and even better at getting his team motivated... Ray inspired his team to do better.
