Thanks for the video! I have a new Ruger AR-556 with a Nikon P223 3x9 BDC scope. Shot 1.5" - 2" groups with the stock mil-spec trigger. Just installed the Elite 452 trigger, can't wait to try her out at the range and on some prairie dogs this summer!
I have the Ruger 556 mpr which has the 18 inch barrel 452 trigger free float handguard 1 in 8 twist rate it shoot 62 gr PMC around 1 inch and 55 gr Hornady around 1 to 1 1/2 but loves heavier bullets like Hornady frontier 75gr bthp around 1/2 to 3/4 inch . Love the Ruger
Great videos. I believe youre the only one on YT that has done this test on the AR 556. Mine also likes VMAX hand loads. Best I've found is the 77gr Sierra Match King. Give the SMK's a try some time. Subbed.
thanks that's one reason why I did these videos. no one else was doing them. I have seen nothing fancy do a video on the ruger ar556. for some reason mine seemed to group better as to why would be anyone's guess.
I love my Ruger 556. I have shot every kind of ammo. Mine loves PMC X-Tac 62grain for long range 400yds or less. Any ammo runs good up to 100 yds. Shot over 1000 + rds. Burris mount-Vortex Crossfire 1x4x24 Scope. Ergo large grip. Tack driver and Stock Trigger. GREAT VIDEO..WELL DONE
Hell yeah, brother, great shooting and thanks for the vid. Glad to see it making some nice groups like that and now that trigger is on my list. Been planning on getting a second scope, 3x9 as well, since I plan on hunting with it. Where about in Georgia are you? I'm in the Douglasville/Villa Rica areas.
+Down South Armory .....Awesome. I would need to watch a few reviews on it, but was thinking about the Nikon 223 scope, since it has the BDC reticle. I shoot at Advanced Bullets and their range is only out to 100yds. I was using a 1-4x20 and getting groups around 3", but with that 4x and my eyes, couldn't even really see the impacts well on the Shoot-n-C targets.
I also have the ruger 556 with a 3-9x32 mil. dot leper with the stock field trigger, using Winchester 5.56 ammo at 100 yards I have 1 inch. M.O.A. . I think the ruger is a real fine firearm..
totaldla I honestly couldn't tell you. The MBT wasn't even on my radar till just now. I can say I still have this trigger in the ar556 and is preforming very well.
