I'm just in awe of your shooting ability. I saw you split a playing card at 100 yds with the 224 Valkyrie and I've been a fan ever since. Thanks for the inspiration, God bless
i think he is taking over for the master "hickok". notice in other vidoes he will say "i forgot my ears" referring to his hearing protection...just like the Mahomes of target shooting "the world famous hickok". it feels like he is mimicking hickok. very similar, if not the same shooting range. all good and i support it 100%, i just hope Mr. Hickok is ok health-wise. Love Mr. Hickok and I like this gentlemen as well.
I just ordered the hiveGrip from TK. Thanks to your recommendation. LOL. I installed the Accurizing Kit after your last video and am highly satisfied! Way to go Plinkster!
This set up will find it's way onto the next low budget Sci-Fi flick. I understand the engineering and like the build for what it was designed for. Good Job and great informative Video. Thank you.
Really enjoying your channel Dave. I did the same trigger combination with the volquartsen inners and the tandemkross trigger I love it. I've been been considering those ledges and the hive and based on this video I think I need to pull the trigger. In a manner of speaking.
"The only thing that's original on here is.....well..... there's a serial number somewhere.... I think" Taking plinking to a whole new level. Nice build
You are so damn awesome Man! What the Hellllll! My Ruger Mark IV 22/45 makes me feel soooooo confident w/ my Double Tap skills, However every time I watch you Boss, I go back to- I gotta a lot of practice to do!!! A+++ love watching! Thank you again Plinkster!😊
Man. You are pretty serious about some 22lr. O.o thank you for your mark 4 video, it helped me decide to get a ruger target mark 4, stainless threaded for my semi auto 22lr. I also use the smith and wesson 617 6 inch for 22lr fun! Awesome video man
I had a Mk II and a Mk III stolen from my home a few years ago. I’m getting the Mk III back from the police next week. But I’m getting me a Mk IV this weekend.
Wow. I agree that mine rocks. Factory frame but volquartsen trigger kit with TK victory shoe. LLV-4 upper, LDP red dot but mine has ADM qd, halo ring, hive grips, target sights. Mine is the little brother to yours.
So it's like I'm sitting here in my bed it's not even 12 pm yet smoking pot and I'm watching this dude review a gun and he's cracking me the fuck up with his simple country boy slang and I can hardly stop laughing to even pick up on what he's saying about the gun! I love this man! You're my all-time hero!🤣
I am building my own 'Black Pearl' and I also raided Volquartsen's website. Lots of good stuff on there. The accurizing kit is a real PITA to install, but definitely worth it. 👌
Ghey. My minimamba w/ a adm mount w/ aimpoint p2, battleworn finish so metal lower, flat faced trigger, specter cat suppressor, eagle grips turkish walnut grips... now that the ultimate 22. cant even explain how awesome this thing is.
Love it! Just spent the weekend teaching three of my nephews to shoot on my 22/45 lite and 10/22. Using them with the dead air mask on steel really dialed up the intensity and fun factor. By the way, what do you do with all your pull offs/stock parts?
great build. What is the full list of upgrades you did to the pistol? In hind sight, would you modify another Ruger Mark IV or get a already configured volquartsen?
Just curious, what size group from how far did that awesome hunk of metallic goodness shoot before the build, and after. I figured out how much the build costed now I’m I’m curious as to how much accuracy costs. Love the show, keep plinking
Man, that intro brought back memories! I was in band in high school (alto sax, for those who care lol), and we did a Pirates of the Caribbean themed show one year. So fun. Definitely one of my favorite movie franchises.
We love it .22. just like we love you...So PLEASE do a video with Hickok45. You live in the same state, you love guns, you both know a tremendous amount about them, etc, etc... The internet is waiting.......
Curious why you used the 22/45 for a precision target gun. I would think the polymer frame would not be rigid enough. I’m thinking about building a similar setup but I’m leaning towards using an aluminum or stainless frame for the rigidity. Your thoughts?
Man - I love all your videos !! You are amazing !!! I am so envious of that outdoor range !!! I assume that is on your own property? You have taught me so much already and you are very entertaining indeed !! I am recently retired, and I just bought the gun you are holding. I pick it up this week in NJ. Can I ask, where are you located? Just very curious. thanks again !!! I just bought those grips.
Another benefit of the Halo is that you don't pinch your fingers. I've only had mine for a couple of months and I've already pinched my fingers to draw blood twice. Halo is on the way! But man do Tandemkross take their sweet time with international orders. I ordered it in May and it just posted two days ago! (9th July)
Great video Dave! I'm having the same issue that you described where the bolt is riding too high over the magazine and won't pick up the next cartridge. I called Volquartsen about a magazine release, but they said that they do not make them for a Ruger Mark IV 22/45. Would you please confirm where you obtained your upgraded magazine release? Thanks!
Nice pistol I love rugers. And have wanted a mark 4 for awhile and before that be mark 3 bit still have not been shown to get one. Someday I'm hoping to.
Hang on to your Mark 2, It is still the most accurate out of the box of the Mark series. The only thing I want to change on mine is the sights, my eyes are not what they were 35years back.
My factory Mark III target slab side has a similar issue with the magazine it's very picky about how well its inserted as to if it will pick up the round out of the magazine. It's a bit frustrating but now I know what caused it.
I put the Tandemkross Victory trigger and the Halo charging ring on my Ruger Mark IV Competition Stainless and I love them both ... especially the Halo charging ring because I do have arthritis in my hands. What can I say I've farmed most of my life. The Victory trigger makes it easier for me to squeeze the trigger. I think it's easier because I can place my finger lower down on the trigger and I get a better mechanical advantage on it. Thanks for an interesting video. I almost forgot - my Mark IV Competition came with a thumb rest on the left hand grip. Makes it really nice to hold.
The ruger .22 is an awesome pistol but I am NOT a fan of the 22-45 grip. It's just way to wide for my hand. I much more prefer the other grip as it more ergonomic. It Fits my hand so much better. Great video!
Would love to see you shoot a 50 foot Precision BullsEye target one handed to show how accurate this pistol really is , I know everyone is different at shooting this style but would give us Bullseye shooters an Idea of building one or just buying a S&W model 41 .
Which length barrel should someone get who plans on using a suppressor most of the time? (I thought I've heard the shorter barrel lets you shoot regular ammo instead of sub sonic to keep it quiet. Is this true in real life?)
Used to be a Ruger Mark 4, at this point it is only a minor part of the whole. The whole cannot be holstered or pocketed or dropped without big problems. But hey, can cut cards in half at 20 yards. There is a big financial profit to be made in cut cards. However, the big advantage? It is so much fun to shoot. But we men love it.
