yes, it is possible. I have done a coke can at 800m using a lithgow mod 12 (grandfather to the lithgow 101) it was a walk in exercise. I was approximately 35m hold over (using trees as a guide.) can I repeat this possibly with enough ammo and conditions. is it likely....nope.
I have an '06 that my grandfather used for decades as a state employed beaver trapper in Colorado. It shows that it was a working gun. I even have the leather saddle scabbard that he carried it on his horses in. For speed shooting hold the trigger back and run the pump as fast as you can. It'll fire on lockup without having to pull and release the trigger every shot.
My gun came with a none centered barrel (sits very low) so any suppressor added cause drag on the slide (wear marks and malfunctions). Sent back to Taurus, they put 26 round through it none suppressed (knowing already that it functioned with no suppressor, and that it only had issues when suppressed). I called after receiving the pistol back and was told that if it functions without a suppressor, they don’t care and will not be fixing anything. I had high hopes that Taurus was starting to turn around from the terrible company they’ve known to be in the past, unfortunately they are still the same company.
That’s a gun you put in a box somewhere. Blued is beautiful but it shows fingerprints and it can rust easy and you have to clean it after shooting. It’s too high maintenance for me but she is a beaut
If you can't hit what you're aiming at, a self-defense round is useless. Instead of buying fancy ammo, shot placement is the skill you should be acquiring. Personally, I prefer shooting Winchester Hyper Velocity. It is a 40g hollow point 1435 fps round. I shoot this round out of a Buckmark Contour 7¼ barrel and several single-shot rifles with a 30 inch barrel @400yds. The hyper velocity round has greater stability and is copper plated. I also like the M-22 @1255 fps for plinking and target practice. Self-defense is ALL about shot placement, NOT the ammo. Fancy ammo will never make you a better shot.
Great info! Thank you!! I am working on a GSG Firefly and it is not firing I’ve completely disassembled it and stripped all old lubricants, re-lubricated it like the manual says. No luck. Any helpful tips?
When I was a lad I found a well used Winchester model 62 that my uncle bought in 1933 when he was 14. He said if I wanted to fix it, it was all mine. The stock was cracked and held together with tape. I put a screw in it, refinished the stock, put on a new sight, and have been shooting it for the last 45 years.
That is not an entry-level pistol. That is a high-quality high-level pistol. Of course you’re never gonna get unanimous decision on any good most of the time.
I have a Savage 1914 that, I am told, was used mostly as gallery guns at fairs. You made mention that you have a gunsmith who rebuilt one of your slide-action rifles. Mine has a piece in it that someone has made and it is quite obvious. I have not found a local smith that can or will do this type of work. I am interested in finding someone who will do this. I am afraid to try to shoot my gun till I get this fixed.
There is a reason that the control round didn’t work any better than a 9mm. That 10 mm along with the vast majority of 10mm rounds are no more powerful if at all that a 40 S&W. But true 10mm there is a very big difference!!
Intended usage is 2 1/2 barrel CCW , no one carry's a Glock 22 lr , will it expand with it's intended gun ? , everything else is pointless , love your content but we learned nothing here
I've got this same exact gun. I own several pistols and this is my favorite one. I've hit cans at 100 yards. It's definitely a pricey gun but worth it. My friends call it the Dirty Harry😊
Guys I need help! I’m debating between a ruger mark IV target and a buck mark. I really want the ruger mark IV but worried I won’t be able to find any cool aftermarket barrels since I live in California. Can I still get a super cool gun out of the target model? Or should I go for the buck mark?
If you have that specific pistol drilled and tapped then you're a Super Shaty Friend!!! You wouldn't be my friend after you did that to my pistol!!! SMFH.... That has to be a Troll!!! 🧌🧌🧌 No One is THAT DAYUM Stupid!!!
I just got one of these with a 6” barrel.. I’m wandering if the sight index is different as far as having to hold low. I ran into this problem with the Glock 44. I haven’t fired this colt yet but I’ll be looking closely at it now that I watched this video.
