Recently bought a mint used ruger single seven at my local gun store. Had over 20 boxes of 327 fed mag. Sold me every box they had! Because said nobody buys these. So i now have over 1000 rounds of 327 mag. I will vouch these are very powerful rounds!!! Sammi ratings... 357 mag.. 35,000 psi. 327 fed mag.. 45,000 psi. 100 gr bullet is why less recoil even though loaded hotter than a 357 magnum.
S&W made a 632. You can find them used, but very expensive. Taurus makes a 327 snub now. Ruger gave it the most attention with the LCR, SP101, GP100, formerly a Blackhawk, now a Single Seven.
Yeah it’s a interesting round for sure and Ruger was on top of it. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I know Taurus recently released a revolver in 327. Thought Charter Arms put one out a while back too but I could be wrong about that one so don't quote me on it... Either way, I've been wanting to get into the 327 game since the cartridge was released. Hopefully I can eventually add 32's to the existing cartridges on my loading bench. With it's versatility in the 32 family, all the dedicated 32 guys out there & now that we've gotten thru the Covid BS, I think it's here to stay. Love Henry's 327 lever gun too. Talk about a sweet pair! Love Rugers options, nice little revolver. Thanks for sharing.
That might be the way to go in this “new normal.” Thanks for watching and hope you’ve subscribed and like our Facebook page as we have a upcoming drawing for the 5.11 bag. Thanks again
I happened upon an SP101 just like yours when its owner put it on consignment. It is good to see .327 Fed Mag ammo becoming more available, and at lower prices!
Thank you! It’s not one you want to shoot to much of because it’s a showpiece haha, and ammo nowadays, if you haven’t already sub up and thanks for the support!
327 federal was scarce and expensive before the pandemic but is impossible now. I’ve never understood why this round never got traction and Ruger is almost exclusively the only manufacturer that makes a gun chambered in 327 federal. Thanks again for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
Yeah I’ve thought about the LCR a couple times I have one chambered in 357 but not 327. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
You can reload and get these online from a BUNCH of retailers. I think more companies are starting to make this caliber. Ruger LCR IN .327 federal mag is a beast but not to much hinder speed range testing.
I love the .327 round! I have the LCRx version and the Single Seven. Both are great to shoot. I wish the round would gain traction. It was screwed when it came out right when the economy collapsed in 08-09. I'd love to get the Henry rifle. Hopefully one day!
I own the identical SP101 and a LCR both in 327 Fed.mag. Both are great guns in all respects, highly recommend the guns and the caliber. Some factory ammo, especially the AE 100 gr. is a bit hot in the LCR, but the 85 gr. and Hydra Shocks are not and the 32 H&R mag. is also a great option. Definitely agree reloading is the way to go if you want to put in some range time. There are many powders and bullet options that work well, very simple and straight forward process. Really find nothing to not like, blessings to you as well!
The more I study up on this round the more I'm liking it. I remember when it first came out and I thought this is going to be a game changer.......boy was I wrong, it never got out of the starting blocks. What a shame, especially with the ballistics numbers and low recoil. I put this round with the .41 Remington Magnum, to really enjoy it you better be a reloader. Like the .41 Rem Mag it too has a lever action cousin, making this round a real winner. I feel it just a shame S&W bowed out early on this round.
I just bought one of these in a lcrx, haven’t got a chance to shoot the actual magnums, but I like how it shoots 32 H&R mags. Btw Henry makes a rifle in this caliber also.
327 Federal Magnum is the Most Versatile Revolver Chambering. Full power loads are as powerful as 357 magnum. Also chambers the soft shooting 32 S&W Long. Six Shots instead of Five!
Ruger does make in my opinion Best Revolvers! Why? They shoot the heaviest loads manufactures make that S&W can’t because, the cylinders on S&W’s aren’t long enough to chamber them! The cylinder gap and forcing cone exposure S&W’s have makes their revolvers look weak..... Ruger’s just Do It and their stealthiness and build makes them powerhouses! Ruger in my opinion just Does It!!!!!!
Good looking revolver. I need to pick one up. I have the snubbie .38/.357 mag in a 2 inch barrel. Tank gun for sure...very solid. Those .327 magnums can do so much.
@@GSquaredTactical the only knock against the ammo itself is that some brands are loaded to hot making extraction difficult. check out reviews at midwayusa.com.
Charter arms and Taurus make 327 magnum, have a Taurus 3”stainless ported since 2014 excellent revolver 😁back up revolver for my 357 magnum stainless 66
Yes sir it is most these days don’t appreciate a good revolver. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
The .327 Federal (Super)Magnum is an incredible cartridge. BUT It isn’t really on shelves. You have to order your ammo in the internet. AND it’s expensive. Almost $2/round. You can use cheaper .32long/.32ACP but even both of those aren’t cheap.
Bond Arms does not currently make a .327 derringer. Ruger has a couple of guns in .327, of course. S&W used to make a .327 chambered revolver, the model 632. Taurus currently makes a snubbie chambered in .327 fed mag, the Taurus 327.
Yes sir lol. Thanks for watching and commenting and if you haven’t subscribed already please do. Thanks again!! Like our Facebook page to be entered into our upcoming drawing.
Ok checked your video from our comments on the other video... yeah I’ve got the 6” 7 shot GP100, it’s a different gun. Yeah that is a beauty though, that’s more the midsize up from the LCR the GP100 is a tank! Lol. 👍🏻
Bryan Adams yes I have the SP101 I don’t know what I was thinking. When I got in from work yesterday I had so many messages on RU-vid to respond to I mistakenly confused GP100 with SP101 lol. The GP100 is a beast!!
G Squared Tactical you may not be able to respond to everyone! I have been watching and commenting on Hickok 45’s videos for a few years and finally he responded to me a few days ago! Lol 😆
I do not but a friend of mine has it I’m sure he’d let us use it. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I just bought this as my 1st handgun ever....just waiting for the gun shop to call me once it arrives. I bought it in the 3" barrel length variety though...Do you think a 3" barrel is also good? Thanks!
The round is very underrated period. For that reason and can be hard to find ammo and a little pricey. However any Ruger will manage recoil very well. I think Ruger makes the best revolvers. You can’t and won’t go wrong with any of them
No way the 327 federal is a powerful round to be as small as it is but it’s overall a very light recoil compared to a 44 magnum or 357 magnum. You’ll love it. I only got the 6” because I never intended to use it for defense but because it’s not something everyone has and I wanted a gun that was Unique!! You’ll love it guaranteed
@@GSquaredTactical thank you that was my only hold back on it I will be carrying it on a trap line this winter I didn't want to waist my money if it wasn't a meat getter I want a.reloadable round not like the 22 mag in a rifel the mag is fine but I want a pistol that is able to do more I have killed cows and big hogs with a 22 I'm just looking for more fire power just in case eaverything isn't perfect thank you
