There are heavier and higher pressure loads for the 32H&R , Buffalo Bore loads a 100 Gr XTP JHP, that runs 1250 from a 4 inch SP101. So don’t count the 32H&R Magnum out 😉

You've got some pretty good tips there. I like your repurposing idea for the pocket reload clip. Nice up grade on the sight and the grip too. For my EDC rotation, I started conceal carrying the Ruger LCR .327 about six years ago. I liked that round so much I added a Single Seven in a 5.5" barrel and then a GP100 in a 4.2" barrel. I was holding out for Ruger to produce the .327 in a LCRx 3" barrel (they make a 1.87") but it never materialized in a 3" barrel so I bought the SP101 in 3". That SP101 is one of my favorite revolvers. I might look into some of your upgrades for mine too. Thanks for posting.

Great looking revolver, especially with that grip mod. Wish I could buy one without undue hassle here in New York State. But at least I don't live in NYC itself, where it's even harder to buy a handgun.

The SP-101 has always been my favorite revolver. I think the grips are "tactical" because they are more "grippy". There is a company that makes speed strips called neomag you might want to check into. Its uses a pocket clip ala folding knife.

I love my Ruger sp101 as well.. The 327 mag is one of my favorites to carry.. Have you tried the sticky holster? I have a sticky for all my guns that I use in rotation. I normally carry appendix and the sticky is so comfortable.. I also like to carry the Ruger strong side in a leather owb . There are so many people who don’t know just how potent this caliber is. I do like 327 alot! I like the truglo sight its a nice upgreade however you will be surprised how effective the original ramp sight is with some simple white paint!

I love the 327, I have an SP101 3" and 4" 327's. My 3" is a quite rare since it has adjustable rear sights which Ruger only had for a very short time, they switched it to the non adjustable rear groove sight.

Your going to want a spring kit before long and the #9 may give weak strikes. The action needs to be polished WITHOUT touching the sear faces on hammer and trigger but everything else is fine, dremel and Flitz polish does a great job and it won't remove metal. The #9 hammer spring should work fine then, did on mine. I put the stock trigger return spring back in the gun because the return with the reduces spring was too lazy for my tastes. YMMV. Really interested in the .327 but since I quit loading there's no way to afford to shoot it. You'll go broke buying factory ammo so reloading is about the only way to go.

The good thing about the .32 long option is that it is available nearly everywhere and usually also one of the cheaper rounds. So if you can't find the .327 mag, you can still go home with something to shoot.

I wonder if it will fire .30 Super Carry with the cylinder machined for moonclips. (Yes, .30 Super Carry is a .31 caliber, just like .327 Federal Magnum.)

I'm beginning to play with the idea of changing to .327 carried appendix. I'd never considered going tacticool until Hard 2 Hurt did a video about it, he made valid points. I figure it makes sense as I get older and continue the slow breakdown to carry .327 for many reasons. My Wife could shoot at least .32 H&R mag, and we could step down to .32 S&W Long if we get recoil sensitive. If somebody comes out with a lever-action .327 with a load gate, I'd consider it for home defense.

have the same gun question does the truglo front sight height match the original ruger says the 327 model sight height is .356 or did you have to mod to poa?

what size drill bit did you have to use for that sight?
