Yeah man their older stuff is even better than their newer (which is still good) but In Christ is like their top track. Send Your Regrets is one of their most underrated tracks IMO.
@@grey0966 Somebody told you that and you just rolled with it huh. Do you remember being born believing in god? You were brainwashed homie. See through the lies and do better.
Here's the deal, simple minds. (Simple minds inquire) Living Sacrifice is the one metal band that got ALL my friends liking a little metal, WHY YOU ASK....EVERYONE COULD UNDERSTAND THE WORDS.
LIVING SACRIFICE RULES OF ENGAGEMENT Expectations of actions that conform Foreign beliefs put in position to be killed You have to go, you have to fight There's no one else that's capable No one else would even dare Put your life on the line without a word Silent and stealth just like you were trained to kill Your hands are tied, you've been compromised As the bullets rain down on your hide Twenty yards and counting, the enemy rears his head Black eyes glaring hate in his heart Blood and sweat mixed with earth Bloody mess, stench of death Blood and sweat mixed with earth Searing flesh is what you're worth Your hands are tied, you've been compromised As the bullets rain down on your hide Your hands are tied, you've been compromised As the bullets rain down on your hide Engage Sent to defend, trained to kill By the ones who called you an animal Your hands are tied, you've been compromised As the bullets rain down on your hide Your hands are tied, you're gonna die By decisions made in someone else's mind
Last time I checked music is an art form. An art form is a self expression. So why can't a band be Christian and play what genre they choose? Stating that they can't express their faith through a particular style of music is ignorant. Sounds like a bunch of envy...Because Living Sacrifice is better then most "Non-Christian" bands.
I'm discovering so much more metal now. Like I used to think only Stryper was Christian metal but now I find these guys, Norma Jean, the Letter Black, War of Ages, Thousand Foot Crutch, and Flyleaf.❤❤❤
saw these guys play wayyyy back in a coffee shop show. place was so packed my friend went outside and danced in front of the store window when these guys played. so good every time i have seen them play.
I saw these guys way back in the day at the Wherehouse in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. It was so hot inside, the walls were dripping with condensation. Good times, keep up the good work!
I agree. It's about sharing the love of Christ. Whatever Church you belong to does not matter. If you get what Jesus said and Care about others, then I think you have the right idea.
If I'm not mistaken, this is a Christian song that's critical of military action. Sounds like, at least according to the lyrics, the message is that a soldier is a pawn thrown into war by powerful people while he has to fight through the crossfire.
Very wise words man!!! We are all still human, brothers and sisters regardless of our beliefs, religion, likes or interests. We are all born free with a mind of our own and in the society that we live in today it's a matter of who opens theirs up and breaks the "mold" that we have been "formed" to. Music can be a wonderful tool to help with that...Cheers!!!
These guys deserve more recognition than they receive. They have gone through multiple changes of style without selling out, they have survived an extensive hiatus, and they have an excellent drummer and vocalist, and the pop media says freaks like Bieber are BETTER??????!!!!!!! Music appreciation has gone down the tubes straight to hell.
Rocky Gray started playing with Living Sacrifice in 1998. He didn't join Evanescence until after they released their 2003 album "Fallen." He played drums on their second album "The Open Door," and then left to rejoin LS upon their reforming. In 2010, he took a brief break from the band to form and record with the band We Are the Fallen, which featured all former members of Evanescence except for the singer Carly Smithson.
I love this song, I've bought both this one and also "Unfit to Live" off of iTunes. I don't care if you're a Christian or not (however, I am a Christian), this is just a great song
@TheNarcosynthesis Rocky also played guitar for Soul Embraced and wrote the song Tourniquet as done by Soul Embraced. He is now playing in We Are The Fallen.
I know this band personally and they have reached soooo many lost youth that are listening to bands that worship the devil , Living Sacrifice has been a light in the darkness. PrAiSe YeShUa
I'd have to heavily disagree with you. While Living Sacrifice are Christian thrash pioneers, they formed in 1989. Deliverance, the first known Christian thrash band, formed in 1985. Christian metal was set in motion by Stryper in 1983 when they began as Roxx Regime.
