Exceptional spotting! Instills so much confidence when you're moving heavy weights. Focusing on the lift instead of wondering if you're gonna be maimed for life if you miss.

With weight this heavy, it's so easy to get deadly injuries without good spotters. Great work to all of them!

Seeing spotters doing their job is one of the most satisfaying things in sport. I mean, dudes, by properly doing what you should do, you probably save the life, or at least the health, of athletes. And this, is truly awesome.

That's how spotting is done. Getting the most leverage out of your body to carry that weight back up at ANY point should make YOU look like you are squatting with the lifter. Good show

fella shouldnt have dumped the weights at 1:00 that coulda seriously hurt a spotter if your planning on bailing yourself with a high bar squat then don't have spotters

Excellent technique. The biggest cue is the guy behind him doesnt pull his chest up until he KNOWS the other spotters have the weight supported! This is key because a lot of inexperienced spotters will pull the guy's shoulders up trapping him in while the side spotters dont even have the weight in control.... I was thinking recently, someone should make a modern powerlifting spotting guide, like a full one 30 minutes fucking long, that every meet should play while setting the shit up lol. edit: I just looked it up, THERE ARE TONS OF GUIDES, the IPF as no excuse smh haha

Being a good or high performance lifter is respecting your spotter knowing they are one of the major reason you’re able to FIND OUT what your PR is.

Spotters like a lifeguards have to be in a optimum shape and be prepared to do their job. The health and live of the competitors depends on that. It's a totally disgrace to see unprepared 50kg kids doing that indispensable job in an important competitions. Congratulations to that amazing spotting team!
