Great professionalism from the team, did what they had to with speed and efficiency each time. Even when the lifters dumped the bar in very poor fashion, they remained calm and strong and dealt with the situation in such a way that kept every safe. Very good spotting crew
This is exactly why I always thank the spotters before AND after a meet. They legitamately keep lifters safe during all of the lifts. Great job Turkish Spotter Team!
Dude at 1:40 made it all to way to IPF Worlds and still doesn't know how to properly fail a squat lol. Dumping the bar like this for the spotters to catch by themselves is very selfish
I competed in the 120+ junior equipped and it’s safe to say the spotting team was fast, efficient, and kept us all safe. Thank you for your dedication to our sport.
That is a fantastic spotting team, great catches and you can see them leaping into action to adjust the rack and weights at the end of some clips. Much respect! A harsh personal opinion, if you voluntarily dump the bar and just leave it to the spotters to replace it in the rack you should be disqualified from the comp. Obviously if you lose the bar by accident or are thrown out of the squat fair enough but the people who failed and just left the bar to the spotters should've been told to get lost in my opinion. Spotted at a local meet and had a girl dump a squat, only 120 kg, onto my forearms and it left some serious bruising, I was jumping back once she dumped it so I didn't even get the full hit of it
Had a buddy drop a 135kg squat on me and another friend. Not much, but I got caught completely off guard and almost lost my balance, since I expected him to stay underneath the bar. If you're pro enough to compete at a world level, you should know it is terrible etiquette to dump the bar like that.
Such an amazing team of spotters and shout out to all the lifters that didn't drop all the weights on the spotters. And those guys deserve a high five and good bonus
This is the absolute best spotting I’ve ever seen. Elite level spotting. The organisation and efficiency reminds me of the f1 pit crew when they change the tires lol
Great spotters, handled every failed squat with the utmost effort to protect the lifter. Theres another video titled “faulty spotting at IPF worlds” that everyone should check out. What an enormous difference.
Massive respect to this team. This is how you spot guys and girls. Always be alert, always be switched on and always be ready to grab the bar. Ain't no one getting hurt with this team around...👍💪👊
Nice to see this professionalism.. I had once went to a powerlifting competition in india.. And the spotters were laughing at failed reps.. But this is ❤
Agreed, you're genuinely risking the safety of the spotting team by dumping anything over 150kg on them. I would say give them a year or two ban on competing
If you’re being spotted for a ridiculous amount of weight and you fail? Your job isn’t done yet, the spotters still need your help reracking all that weight. 50% of the load is assisted through the spotters now, help them.
Yeah, they try to hit the absolute minimal depth for a valid lift and that's not a good way to grow legs. Those squats look so ugly compared to the weightlifting ATG version.
0:33 the guy on the left is the best example, while the guy on the right needs to be corrected. 1:42 This is a great example of how much better the left side responded, then dude on the right.
Finally a good and trustworthy squat support team. You can tell they did a few practices to show them when it’s time to step in, I feel like most places just have a few random guys come together to help
