Out of 400+ 4k discs I've seen, this is one of the very best looking ones I've ever seen, I got to see the gorgeous restoration in a theater earlier this year and looked great there too
Nice review, much appreciate it! Loved this film since it's release and try and catch it in theaters when it (rarely) ever pops up. Nice to see these older films given some love.
Looking forward to upgrading from my DVD copy. Too bad we don't get an Atmos upgrade--there are spots where it could have been utilized well (e.g., the roulette wheel of characters that ocassionally spin around Lola's head as we hear the sound of the roulette ball spinning around us, the mother calling out for Lola to pick up shampoo (which, if my memory serves, is above us as Lola descends the stairs--although I could be misremembering that), etc.).
