Looks really functional. You've created a lot more storage space without losing too much head room. Always thought it was strange how those types of plastic storage totes/containers are sized according to liquid amounts instead of cubic feet/inches. I have yet to see anyone putting liquid in plastic storage containers. Thanks for sharing.
Hello Diego if you have a rear door that's even better you can add drawers from both sides especially the back which is wasted space on mine. The mattress that I have is an old queen size memory foam mattress that I got from my son it is 10" height and we had to cut the length to 70" so it would fit the camper. If I ever replace it I would get an 8" thick mattress for extra head room. Hope that helps...
Thanks for the information! I am thinking I will store my Coleman camping stove and other kitchen items in bins and store them under the bed through the rear door. I'll keep you posted!
Great build! I have looking at videos to make a platform bed like yours except my Range Runner has a rear door and I want to be able to access storage from there. Will you provide some info about your mattress: brand name, where purchased, and if it is fiberglass free. Happy trails, keep the great videos coming.
Clever! May I ask how tall you are and if you’re comfortable in the bed arranged this way? We’ll pick ours up in December, and trying to figure out if I can do East - West bed for storage options.
