Man… the more Ruroc pays RU-vidrs to talk about Ruroc, the more skeptical I am about Ruroc.

Had a 2.0 and after a year of barely using it, it was already falling apart. I seriously only worn it a dozen times (maybe). It was a cheaply made helmet. Customer service didn’t want to help me out with their “shockwave” intercom system when the charger connecter broke off due to cheap assembly. Furthermore,the price I paid for that Ruroc and having to wait 2 months to receive it, I should have just bought an Aria Corsair X, which I finally ended up doing. I will never buy Ruroc again. However, I will give them mad props for their advertising strategy.

Very informative video! Given the range of opinions, which pretty much seam either way to one side or the other, I wanted to wait until hearing from a couple of Ruroc's detractors and supporters. I watched the Gears & Gadgets video of him cutting the 3.0 in half, and boy did he rip into it saying it was junk. Regardless of his viewpoint, I still felt it was beneficial. So, I was very interested when he did a video on the 4.0. Seeing his, as best as I can assume, genuine shock and surprise at the quality of the 4.0, it really got me thinking if it would be a good switch. I really enjoyed getting to see you, as a Ruroc supporter, give your thoughts and opinions on the helmet, and getting to see Arch talk about the helmet and give us all the info. I also very much enjoyed seeing the video from the lead engineer explaining what ECE 22.06 is vs Snell. I had always heard that, "You need a Snell rated helmet. It's the best out there, don't settle for less." It was nice to get some other information. The one thing I would love, still, is to be able to try on a Ruroc in person. That's really one of the biggest things that is preventing me (besides money, HA!) from buying a helmet from them. I really want to try on a helmet and see how it fits on my head before I actually pull the trigger and spend several hundred bucks. Maybe one day! One major problem they need to work on is distribution. They need to put the helmets in stores so you can try it on before you buy it. That’s a lot of money to spend on a helmet you don’t even know if it will fit when you get it. The biggest problem is how long it takes to get the helmet after you have bought and paid for it.

I just purchased the Batman edition for a birthday present for myself. I measured and followed their size chart and it says XS. When the helmet got here it turned out to be extremely to tight. I contacted them about it to see if I could buy new pads because as soon as I received the helmet I took off the tags immediately and you’re not supposed too. A guy named Harry got back with me the same day I emailed. Told me the XS and the small are different shell sizes and he allowed me to go ahead and trade it out for a larger size and sent me a return label the next day. I sent it out and am waiting patiently for the larger size to be delivered. So far I’m happy with the customer service I have received from them and look forward to riding with the Ruroc helmet and do a review when it arrives

I got 2.0...Matte black fits my Bike on 2017 Street BoB....Love the tutorial and your video....Be upgrading to the 4.0 in 2023 riding season...I'll be a customer for Ruroc for my duration on all my Rides. .👍👍👍♥️😎😎

Good video and breakdown of the helmet. Cool to see Archie still being very involved with customers and creators. I never can for the life of me pronounce Rheon as "Ree-on" I always slip up and say "Ray-on" haha.😂 People will still blindly call the helmet garbage based off of previous issues, never mind the 4.0 being a big leap forward for them. Block I've got the 2.0 and just received my 4.0 finally. How are you feeling with the new sizing? I had a L and now have the M/L - Do you feel the cheek area is significantly tighter? Does it wear down and get looser over time as much the 2.0 does? I'm debating if I need to just break in the helmet or send it back... to the UK... to get a replacement. Would love your input!

I'm a little ignorant on this but when I search for reviews on them there is so much controversy. Some people say they absolutely swear by them and some say there's a lot they need to do better and have what seems like valid criticisms (Quality Control was one topic that stood out). I know you're sponsored by them, so I'm unsure if you can objectively help me make sense of that, but in any case, I do appreciate you showing what's out there.

Great video as always man and a lot of information! However, I know this won’t be liked by many but I still can’t see me buying one of these helmets. I don’t like how frequently the models have changed and I would feel extremely disappointed then rather upset if I spent good money on the 4 then the 5 magically appeared. I’ve always worn a Shoei helmet and especially the GT Air 2 because of it’s all round ability to take on whatever weather it is used in (especially here in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿) Good watch though 👍🏻

the crazy part is that, I looked into these helmets when I would snowboarding with my pops and watched them progress into motorcycle helmets, They have done an amazing job!!

I’m new to riding and have been waiting to see your take on this helmet. My buddies at work that ride had me sold on a Shoei RF1400 but I just love the look and designs of the Atlas. My only concern is figuring out my sizing. I tried on a Shoei in XL and it fit. Think I’ll be safe to order the same in the Ruroc? Enjoying your content.

So crazy, I just looked at this helmet an hour ago!!

I just threw my 3.0 in a dumpster during a move, I wore it maybe 5 times in total because it was a garbage helmet and the Shockwave audio didn't work. I blew $800 on finding that out so no, I won't be buying any more of their garbage.

Biggest thing to see in a company is the ability to listen, especially in today's corporate world. That for me is enough to earn my business.

I am still rocking my 2.0 Atlas. Maybe time to get the 4.0 been in my cart for a bit.

I have the 3.0 and it’s a great helmet, but I would not purchase another helmet due to there customer service. I’m a big person on brand loyalty and this company lost it for me. First of all it took 8 months for my helmet to get here. I message them after like three months and they said it would be shipping soon but never did until I wrote a not so nice email then it shipped. Then when I got it they didn’t give me the Bluetooth thing that I ordered with it. So because of the headache they gave me, no more.

when he talked about sticking the spoon in the custard vs slapping it I thought about the old Stretch Armstrong toy instead. Your finger would push right in, but if you punched one it was like punching concrete.

Unfortunately most tracks that I'm aware of won't allow any quick release systems like fidlock. If you don't ever plan on doing a track day then it would be fine. If you do want to try a track day and you only own a Ruroc be prepared to purchase a second helmet.

I am a big fan of you Block, but you must get off this Ruroc kick. This company sucks and is a scam. What helment you get is not what a normal customer gets. As far as I am concern they ripped me off $500 and many other people.

I just had a quick question because I was at the Harley dealership and tried on a module helmet and I was an extra large to a two XL but when I went on to look at the atlas carbon 4.0 it says I should get a medium to large what should I do?

I had 2.0 and now I have 3.0 - my biggest complain is noise. In 3.0, it got even worse, so it is good to hear that they fixed it. Also closable went is a good improvement (in 2022). Maybe @ruroc sends me a 4.0 for my moto vlog channel :D I got trouble with 3.0

The 4.0 might be a great helmet, I just can’t in good faith purchase one after the dumpster fires that were the 2.0 and 3.0. Glad to hear they are making better products.

What size should I get if my head is exactly 57.5CM? My 3.0 is size M(57cm - 58cm)and fits very well, slightly loose, but the new ones are S/M(55.5cm - 57.4cm) or M/L (57.5cm - 60.4cm). I have an old Bell helmet in size L that is (58-59) is is on the looser side.

Definitely will consider the Atlas 4.0 when I'm back on two wheels!

I just got my 4.0 serpent! Unfortunately I had to send it back due to size. FYI if your on border of 2 sizes like M/L or L/XL pick the larger size!

I am happy that they keep evolving in spite of the bad publicity here and there. They are proving every year that they are listening. Eventually they will have the best helmet. And yes, evolution takes time, especially when you want to be unique or one of a kind. This is awesome. Thank you for taking the time.

with the new sizing issues, I really wish they'd do a bigger shell size. your pretty much sol for using one if you were a 2xl before.

Fell in love with the Ruroc Atlas 4.0 Commander so I ordered it. I went through the Ruroc website and gave them my measurements and they suggested ML. Unfortunately, when receiving their order it was way too small! They are making me pay for the return shipping which FedEx has quoted $447. That's almost the same price as the helmet. When emailing Ruroc, the only way to contact them, they are not willing to accept fault or work with me. I don't want a refund, simply an exchange for the next size up. Unfortunately, the product out weights the customer service.

Does this RuRoc come with the built in drop down visor?

I have to say I have wanted a Ruroc since they came out. Ive always heard the the negatives behind it for the price. I would be spending a weeks pay to get one. This video has 100% changed my mind. The fact that they listened so closely to their users and people like you. Then they actually put those changes into action. Not a lot of companies truly care that much. To you and the guy from Ruroc thank so much for the info I learned a ton. Wish i could afford one right now. But i dont have people to ride with so i ride alone. So I would want the Bluetooth thing as well which would make it even more expensive. So I will have to wait My riding season is approaching but maybe for next year.

Hej i have some question about the helmet cause i have hearing aids is it possible to have room for them or do i need to take them off and ride with out them. I dont know if the question make sense or anything Hope someone can help

This is giving me some confidence with trying the 4.0. Safety is very key to me over looks. Plus seeing that helmet will fit snugly on the neck and cheeks like my Shoei is something that I will like. Its great seeing Ruroc is listening to their customers and making changes accordingly.

I had a 3.0 and sent it back. Looked badass but fitment was terrible and quality was meh. The raised nosepiece was a big distraction as well. I would try a 4.0 but I’m over the moon with my carbon fiber Scorpion.

what are the different shell sizes for atlas 4.0? is ML same as L/XL?

I like this helmet. Is this helmet looks bulky? I am a 5'5" guy with a medium to skinny body frame using medium sized helmet and most of the helmet I wore seems to look too big for my body but fits really well with my head. Just want a helmet that doesnt make me look like a mushroom head.

Please make a video how you connect your vloging stuff. I want to see how you hide all the wires inside the helmet

After 50 years of different helmets, motorcycles, gear, and professional racing, I know my helmets. I want a Quiet and comfortable helmets. All helmets are noisy to a degree because of compromises namely weight. Arai Defiant and Shoei RF 1200 now 1400 you should compare with Rurok. The $1000 helmets paying for composites, not noise control or increased comfort.

The 2.0 Mercury I have is junk. If Ruroc was really about innovation and safety, all of the "improvements" would have been made from the 1.0 to the 2.0. They wouldn't come out with a new version every year. It's all a money grab. When the 2.0 came out and they started their facebook group, I got trolled by Dan Rees of Ruroc via private messenger when I complained about the constant delays and false promises. And I have to say, I do dislike Blockhead having them as a sponsor. He was all about Shoei before.

If I have a 59cm head should I go with the M/L?? I just don’t want to have the issue where it does not fit.. someone please tell me I need you all to help out……

I’ve been absolutely floored by the noise reduction from the 3.0 to the 4.0! I wouldn’t need earplugs with the 4.0 (I use Earpeace earplugs) if I didn’t want to wear them! Loving the Mercury color way on my 4.0 as well!

Just got mine for 730 cad $ include the fed ex taxe -.- the helmet is amazing i got the serpent who got a 21% discount i took the right size that i had with my head and different helmet at home and it fit too tight im trying it today hope i can endure it but hard to put on and hard to take off but the helmet look sick just too expensive so never again and too tight even tho my head is 55cm and took the s/m so 54.5-57.5 in the chart size on ruroc .. if it give me headache i will sell it for 650 or more bc after the % discount it go way higher than that.

I was a bandwagon hater of ruroc like a lot of people are, then I needed a new helmet so I decided to try the 4.0 after seeing good reviews with the” I can always return it if I don’t like it mindset” and I was impressed needless to say, it’s comfy, pretty quiet, good ventilation and field of view, and I can listen to music, to anyone wondering if you should buy one, I personally would say yes just make sure you don’t take the tags off or you can’t return it, I came from a modular helmet you can buy from the Harley dealer, the 4.0 was a big upgrade,

Does someone know if Size SM and ML have different Shell sizes?

Love the Ruroc helmets. Cool designs, fit great, very light. The new 4.0's are way better than the 2 and 3. But their customer service has tanked since I bought my 2.0. I'm not saying this to not pick or crap on them. Hopefully they will read the comments and fix things. The sizing chart is wrong. I measured according to their instructions, 23.5 in, M/L according to their chart. I couldn't even fit it over the top of my head. Exchanged it for a L/XL and it fit perfectly. But they still charged me for a return label even though I told them their chart was wrong. No one even acknowledged my issue about the sizing chart. But over all, great helmets. The Shockwave works great though. Especially coupled with the Chain app. Now I don't have to worry about what comms device all my buddies have. We just use the app.

I never seen Blockhead in person but from the shadow over the box shows he has a full set of hair haha BTW just ordered the Fenrir design halfway through this video. Im sold

I got a 4.0 raw carbon just recently, it is a big upgrade in quality and sound from my original Icon Variant, but! 2 points of feedback you can send their way. 1) Fix their "dispatch" process. Either remove/change the statement on their website about the date and color code of the date. Mine showed it should have been fulfilled and shipped within 48hrs, 3 WEEKS later, it finally shipped out and it took 5 days of shipping vs. the 2 day shipping that you are forced to pay for. 2) Check the seal around the visor opening, on the sides, near the pivot points of the visor on mine, there are gaps in the seal, and one has a tab that looks like its suppose to slide into the other. I can't get it to slide in because the glue has set, and I have a very annoying buzz on that side of the helmet at 70mph and above, so any highway or toll road in TX and it sounds like a bee is stuck in the helmet. The good, the sound is super quiet compared to my outgoing Icon Variant. Paired the 4.0 with a Sena 50s with the harman kardon speakers/base, I can't run it at full blast, its too loud. On my old Icon Variant and 20S w/HD Sena Speakers, I couldn't hear the speakers on full blast. I ride a 2016 Ducati Hypermotard and 2010 Yamaha R1 for context.

Is the cardo bold coms compatible with with helmet?

I would like to see a legit collab on this helmet with Marvelkid87. I know a couple people that have bought Rurocs and they're straight trash. Are they giving you a better helmet than the rest of us get? That's what it seems like. The price was crazy high to begin with in the 2.0, 3.0 and now I just cant trust them to spend the money. Shoei, Arai, Simpson, and Bell would get my money before the ruroc. I'm not gonna lie, It makes me wonder if your reviews of your sponsors are legit.

I disagree with the engineer, a helmet that handles high speed impact will up hole to a low speed impact! Ruroc, the RU-vid helmet will never be my choice

I have 7 helmets each has a real world purpose. 1 for local riding . light and aire. 4 icon 2 peacekeepers blk n white. 1 for summer 1 for winter. 1 battlescar . for mountain and windy roads. 1 road warrior 3. For racing high speeds. This ruroc seems like a all round helmet. Ill git me 1.

Ruroc/engine hawk are awesome to deal with. I've been debating buy a 4.0 or seeing if a 5.0 will be announced soonest. My 2.0 pads are pretty smoked and they don't have replacements anymore
