One thing I am certain of without a doubt in the world…Russell Brand is a far superior human than any of these pretentious knobs, particularly Piers.

Russell Brand's Podcast is a bit "kitchen sink" when it comes to conspiracies but there are some important subjects that very few other people will cover.... I think it's dangerous times when people are paying a price for being basically a slut back in the day. Russell gave up his slutty ways and grew as a person, found a woman to love, created a family. He contributed to philosophy in encouraging humanity to treat each other with kindness, and stands up for human rights. But the media wants to nail him to the wall and see his life ruined. Just plain evil. This culture is far different than the culture was just twenty years ago. Just know that it was the media that sexualized everything back in that day. Sex was everywhere and the pressure to be sexual was heavy. Masculines were not masculine unless they were having sex with lots of girls, and feminines were sluts if they had any sex life before marriage. Twenty years ago was a rough time, heck more like forty years ago. And now this bullshit culture will tear a person down in the present for a person's past. If a man's a slut he's a rapist, that's insane. Its not right to punish and ruin lives and reputations for how the culture was twenty years ago. It looks like he is an inconvenience to the propganda agenda. I dont care what people think, but i do care if a man will lise his freedom over things that are twenty or more years ago. People have not followed Brand for his sexual bravado. They follow him for the truth telling. His personal life is his business and some of the "personalities" passing judgement have no place judging. One of those women was rather promiscuous herself from what I was personally told by a friend who used to do concert security for her. Katy Perry certainly has no right to judge him else out herself as a very bad judge of character. She married him.

Russell Brand may be as misogynistic as he is accused of being, but in a western society why did these women put up with bad treatment. I say this as a woman who has dated different types of men over the years. These women need to recognize their own weaknesses. I tune in to a Russell Brand video and always look forward for his observations on current day events. He doesn't seem to be pushing any sort of agenda. He is just informing us and we draw our own conclusions. I'm not a regular viewer. But, in all of the times I've seen him, I've never had any reason to doubt whatever information he was making us aware of. I can easily guess, from that fact alone, that is the reason he's now the target of attack from the mainstream media.

I agree with what is being said by some, that genuine victims come forward after long periods, and I understand why. However, that is not the issue, and I suggest to those who are making that point: "Can we not conflate issues?" The issue is how a person's life can be ruined without any evidence, AND, AAANNNNDDDD when there is a CLEAR CONFLICT OF INTEREST going on, with some of the accusers still working in media (most likely in "spurned" organisations, because 80% of media in the UK stems from only a handful of billionaire owners/organisations), AND two of the investigating organisations belong to a man who has been directly criticised by Brand, consistently. Furthermore, the organisations criticised by Brand are dying or fading in popularity BECAUSE of people like Brand criticising them, and gaining general agreement from the YOUTH and the masses. That is NOT a lack of bias. That is NOT reliable. No industry wants the youth to turn against them. Why? That means in a few years, the industry dies. Hence, it makes a lot of sense to make a large-scale appeal to the public for aggrieved members of the public to come forward (using a documentary like this), so that he can be destroyed and (they hope) prosecuted and taken to court. If a court case is put together, I will be very interested to see if any of the original accusers- particularly those still working in media organisations- are amongst the ones who make a formal complaint. I would even suggest that this documentary was published to serve two strategic purposes: 1. Destroy his reputation and credibility directly and immediately through these accusations 2. Appeal for aggrieved parties, as in, those who feel wronged through his past actions (potentially illegal, potentially legal), so that they CAN go to the police, and then they CAN fully destroy his reputation beyond repair, with the best case scenario (from the point of view of the investigating scorned media organisations) being to secure a conviction at the end of the process

Douglas is usually good, but he's kinda of missed the point here. Tbh i've never been much of a Brand fan at all, but i do find it interesting that its only since his rantings and exposing on youtube and various shows like Bill Maher...that suddenly he gets leveled with such claims..

I’m not entirely sure why jokes about SA are suddenly more serious than those about literal death. Standard assault can easily be used in the above examples. People make jokes all the time. Many of them are actually people who experience the very ‘serious matter’ and gallows humour helps them process it. Likewise, many people use expressions for hyperbole that haven’t been in any comparable situations. If she has never said any such expression, I’ll retract my criticism. Even so, being overly reverent is just as bad as being overly edge-y. You can be facetious and not have to suddenly be blamed for advocating for the very things one is making light of. To do so would perpetuate a culture that is incredibly stale - and, in fact, quite disrespectful for any victims who might use dark humour as a crutch.

Tribalism abundant in the comments section: some people are upset because Douglas Murray kept his intellectual integrity and did not rush to defend Brand with the kind of knee-jerk reflex that most have. The fact that Russel Brand is seen by many people as an "intellectual" is mind-boggling. Under a discussion with Jordan Peterson, I saw people commenting about how great a discussion between "these two intellectuals" was!!! An eminent Emeritus Professor with like 100 peer-reviewed publications, not to mention millions of copies of books sold, not to mention the millions of people he has really helped, put on the same league as a second-rate comedian. Crazy. His attempt to come off as an "intellectual" is often cringeworthy, especially when he uses complicated words to say things he could have said in much simpler ways.
