The US could do that; but that is beyond the scope & capability of the Ukrainians at this point, with half of their cities infrastructures being flattened. But the US is not directly helping them, on the ground, so it can't do that for Ukraine, directly in substantial degrees... beyond sharing some "top secret" intel...

Ukrainians do look for the RF hotspots first. It's not hard. You just need a directional antenna and a radio receiver that can listen in the band of interest. You could do it with the old Radio Shack analog shortwave receiver I had as a kid.

Imagine trying to shoot a target at 200 meters with a rifle and scope calibrated to hit targets at minimum of 900 meters. You are so unlikely to accidently to accomplish this especially if you were trying with only one shot. Russia has their own satellite positioning system, called GLONASS, GLObal NAvigation Satellite System. As does China, whose us called BeiDou. While the EU's is called Galileo. Typically, if a lay person uses the term GPS, they're probably using it generically. Whereas in this video, and _likely_ any large news org (like NBC), they're using it to specifically refer to the US system since that's what ours is called. The question becomes, whether or not the news item you're referring to was using GPS generically or not. But given that all the systems can be used by any person with a system capable of picking up the signals (any modern smartphone), and with satellite tracking it becomes a case of "the more, the merrier" (ie more accurate), so it'd be smart to use even your adversary's systems. That is, because your own system may not have enough satellite to provide coverage all over the globe, or at all times, leaving periodic dead zones. In other words, jamming even one of the systems could theoretically be advantageous... IF Ukraine had been jamming it before, they may have stopped one they started receiving US hardware. In turn Russia may have noticed that and decided to _start_ jamming it since they figure a slight impedance in their accuracy might be offset by taking fewer losses of heavy armor. While this is purely speculation on my part, and doesn't _really_ provide any answers, I figured it was still worth sharing 🙃

Most GPS capable systems also use glonass, beidou, Galileo etc. When you enter their airspace your devices will switch automatically but if you look, you can notice. It's in the little things like the time zone not updating or your location not moving correctly.

The Tomahawk does not have preset course guidance instructions built into its onboard navigation systems. Thus it relies of signals sent by ground controllers to follow a specified flight path to the target. The controllers will still need to rely on GPS to show them the current locations of the missile and the target. The computer then fills in the actual flight path based on the GPS info on the terrain.

Jammers aren’t very good against hardened military receivers. Turkish drones have been hitting Russians pretty badly using the American GPS system.

Strange. Almost all of the combat video that these news networks show features the "lone Z" portion of the Russian forces. Most of the other forces have been encircling about 80% of Ukraine's forces, located near The Donbas.

Yes thankfully a lot of them are high and drones do you have returned functions in case the GPS does get knocked out. Of course the biggest thing right now is any ones that just simply block out right radio waves that make drone struggle to work in some areas. Thankfully we haven’t heard too much about that yet. And as you said, if Ukrainian troops I want to move around they could still use Google Maps and iOS maps that don’t require the GPS system. Just need to make sure their phones can still get a 3G/4G/5G signal. Of course that is a big ask, but it does help that Ukraine is quite flat in some areas so long range mobile transmissions for the signals should still be able to reach them.
