Markets and shops in Heihe, a city on the China-Russia border in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, have been teeming with Russian tourists, who are flocking across the border for hearty breakfasts and shopping sprees since visa-free group travel resumed between the two countries last month.

Breakfast is usually oily and salty, fried or steamed with no fresh fruits. Mostly flour based, (noodles, fried breads, steamed buns, porridge with eggs or a bit of grounded meat. Lunch and dinner is definitely better with more variety.
