GLAD TO SEE YOU BACK BROTHER!!!! WELL, AT LEAST MORE OFTEN VIDEOS.... YOU HAVE ME COMPLETELY REDOING MY 71' C-10..... GOT IT DOWN TO BARE CAB ON DOLLY, FABRICATING THE FIREWALL AND KICK PANEL ROT...
Thanks so much for taking so ever deep attention to detail on rust replacement. Your a great teacher, a great inspiration to us all. Won't be long till I get started on my 62 Fleetside Shortbed Big back window c10. Thanks again Steve. Keep em coming. Truck Driver Ray ✝️
Those are really tough areas to work in !! "Difficult" access from either side besides the shapes that don't readily align with the other panels. Lookin good !!!
Man this is all so familiar, my 62 was just a bit worse. Finally about to put my roof panel on…soon. A metal brake and bead roller came in handy for sure.
My husband has watched you over the years and you inspired him to do a 1965 C10 and he has just about completed. He also watched Fitzee's Fabrication which does a lot of metal work and he uses a WALTER FLEXCUT spin on flex grinding wheel 15-l 456 and it worked great and does not remove metal from panel just the weld. Keep up the great work and videos
Primera vez que comento. Impresionante trabajo.
Welcome back Brother! I'm glad to see you're back at it. I've been restoring our '65 C10. I've learned A LOT from you and have been applying some of that knowledge to my truck. I just DON'T have the nerve to do the floor patches, or inner and outer rocker guards. I wish we were closer so I could pay you to supervise me.. Keep on keepin on...
2) Those curved panels were tricky, forced me to buy a set of shrinker stretchers, worked well. No salvage here with the older trucks, had to make every piece on mine! Learned a lot though. :)
You're my go-to guy for patching videos. Thanks for showing the tools you use. I have pretty good luck with the die grinder and cutting disk but hit surrounding metal with the flap disk. I had some cheap cutting disk on my die grinder one flew apart - scared the crap out of me. I've got to keep the RPMs down. Thanks for another good video.
Great work as always, your videos have helped me alot on my 66 C-10, started working on it in 2013, finished in 2016, my truck exterior is White, but when you finished your windshield in your 63 ,that Victory Red on your dash, gotta paint mine that color, dash and door panels Red, appreciate everything, you help alot with your videos, THANKS.
It would take me a year to accomplish what you knock out in just one video...and my results wouldn’t look nearly as good. Love watching the way you get over the unknown hurdles that are always hidden in an old vehicle.
You're a bad dog yourself man! You got me goin on my '64! sbed fleetside. If I bring mine to you, will you do it for me? I got the $$$$$$ All orig is what I want.
Thanks for posting the new project and glad to see you back. Take a sabbatical? ;) I picked up a 61 from Oklahoma and its got the same cab rust. I hate mice.... Here we go. :)
I use the Lincoln pro mig 135 B for heat and 4-5 on wire feed and also depends on the gauge thickness I will adjust the heat. For the pitted metal it’s just thinner metal in those areas I just work around it a little slower
Looking for some assistance, tops , latch side and front of my doors line up and operate perfect, its the bottom towards the rear that sticks out. any ideas or tricks to line it up without cutting the bottoms.
I love love LOVE watching your videos! PLEASE don’t take this the wrong way but if possible could you upgrade your camera equipment for us if it’s not too much to ask. Can’t wait to see your next video bud!
